We start episode 3 with both of them unable to sleep, Rann thinks about Lené scolding her and trying to push her away, Rann is arguing why Lené hat to treat her this badly, while Lené is arguing why she came back. Then, Rann finds a document in her room that proves Lené was sponsoring her education abroad, and a photo of Rann graduating claiming she is “a light that’s no longer mine”, realizing Lené did care about Rann. Lené is watching a photo of her graduation with Rann attending. After the credits, Rann is trying to tell Lené that she knew about the scholarship. She calls her P’Le as she comes out of the house, but Lené scolds her for doing it. She tries to get out her question, but Lené is not inclined to wait and starts to go away old to hold Rann as she is tripping because of her high heels. Lené scolds her for being clumsy, Rann promises to be more careful. The maid brings her a new pair of shoes and tells her that Lené changed her car, and apparently it’s something she should know, but she doesn’t tell her exactly before Rann leaves for work. At the office, Lené is in a bad mood apparent to all co-workers, and Peem likens it to a cold war. But Kanin, her father, is waiting in the office for her. She tells Rann to wait outside. Inside Kanin, want to know if she change her mind about the new shareholder they are bringing in, and Lené thinks its little early for that, and thinks that was still under discussion, but Kanin tells her that is just her view on the matter, and Lené quickly tells him to go ahead, and she has nothing against it. He wants her to look after him with special care, and she promises to take excellent care of him. He wants to know if her new secretary is working out, and she claims that he chose her for her, so how could she not be satisfied? And Kanin claims that she only wants the best for her. Rann meanwhile wants to know about Lené and her colleagues tell her she used to be kind to everyone, and they indicate her general mood change because of Kanin, but don’t get into details as Kanin is coming out of her office, asking Rann to take care of Lené. At a warehouse, Lené is talking about a “special shipment” where the items don’t match the order again. She wants to check it for herself and goes away with the warehouse worker, leaving Peem and Run behind. Peem guesses that the Cold War is escalating, then goes away to take a call. But Rann is secretly following him and hear him talking to someone reporting that Lené is checking the “special shipment” right now, but doesn’t suspect a thing and is still in the dark. He will make sure the doesn’t cross the line, though. Rann wants to speak to Lené about this right away. She tells her that she is feeling uneasy about Peem, he might not be someone she should trust. Lené warns her that she is making accusation against her bodyguard and Rann tells her she overheard him on the phone, and he was reporting on her to someone. Lené believes she is framing Peem, and warns her that between someone her father hired (Ran) and someone she always trusted, it’s not her whom she trusts more, and she accuses her of being the one who reports on her. She tells her not to overstep her bounds. Back in the car, Peem wants to talk to Lené, but both Lené and Rann remain silent. At night, they return home, and the silent treatment apparently went on all day, making Peem crazy. Rann wants to talk to Lené, and is asking her to stay on her guard no matter how she feels about her. Against whom she asks, against her? But Rann is quicky to claim she would never hurt her. But Lené isn’t taking just her word for anything, and asks her why she came back into her life, and accuses her of forcing herself into her work and her house when she never even wanted her there. she wants her to give her one good reason she should believe anything she says. But Rann just wants her to be safe, she says. Safe from what, Lené wants to know what she has heard – or is she plotting with Kanin. Rann vows that she’s never plotted anything with anyone, and doesn’t understand what Kanin has to do with this; she claims she’s truly worried about her. Then, Lené poses the correct question: is someone going to kill her? And we get flashbacks to the other timeline where Rann only returned after Lené’s death, and the suspicions surrounding it. Lené grabs her, asking her what she has heard, but Rann just frantically claims she doesn’t want to lose her again, claiming Lené hos no idea what she’s been through, or what she’s had to do, or how hard she tried just to stand by her side again. She’s pushing her away again, like when she told her to get out of her sight, but why is she keeping her picture, any did she give her a scholarship. She told her to get lost, so why did she keep taking care of her? She’s terrified that something will happen to her, to wake up one day and she won’t be there anymore. Lené wants to know if she realizes what she is saying, but Rann is fully aware, and would just like her to know that she would never hurt the person she… Lené stop her from saying “loves” but Rann doesn’t want her to be like this, and she claims to have missed her – so much. Lené hesitates for a moment, then draws her close to kiss her. They kiss for a while, then Lené apologizes for it, tells her to not say another word and leaves Rann alone crying. At night, Lené can’t sleep so she comes downstairs to find Rann sleeping on the couch. She talks in her sleep calling for Lené, and Lené holds her face telling her that’s it’s okay and almost kissing her again, but then just kissing her eyebrows, claiming she is sorry. In the morning, she ignores her again all day in the office and at the warehouse. Thes, they are leaving for said shareholder meeting and Lené tells Rann not to wear high heels if she can’t handle them, but Rann claims she’s fine, so Lené tells her to suit herself. We get a flashback to prom night 2018, where Rann was struggling with high heels but Lené put a band aid on her heel. Rann just wanted to look good by her side, she argued, but Lené claimed that just having her by her side was enough to make her happy. The main brings some padding so her shoes won’t hurt and indicates this was done at Lené’s request. The maid and Peem argue that Lené should have given it to Rann herself, but Peem tells her to shut up – she still has a score to settle with him, because he was the one letting Rann know of her scholarship. Peem admits it right away, claiming he knows so many secrets about her, but asks her to go easy on him, arguing how much she loves – this car. And we get a flashback of Lené choosing the car that was easiest to step out of any another one back at university where Rann made a vision board for herself with that car, because she wanted to drive around her grandma in it, while Lené was choosing a sports car. Back in the now, she vows to replace her driver if he doesn’t stop yapping. 😊 At the shareholder meeting, Kanin introduces Dean – and Rann remembers he was attending her funeral – as a new shareholder, her colleagues are calling him handsome. Kanin wants Lené to look after him, and she agrees. Dean calls her beautiful, and Lené hopes he heard only good things about her. After the meeting, Dean reminds Lené that they met at birthday party, but Lené can’t remember it. But Dean says they’ll catch up another time, because they’re bound to have plenty of time together, he argues. And he calls her “Le” which gets Rann jealous and corrects him to “Lené”. He wants to know about Ran, which in turn gets Lené jealous. Rann is still jealous as she gets out of the meeting room, she googles Dean, and find out he a clever investor also called the “Silent Shark”. She gets teased a little by Lené about being jealous, then, she is called to Kanin’s office. He wants to know if there’s anything concerning about Lené, but Rann claims that just as she reported there’s nothing to worry about. He then want to know what her thoughts on Dean are, and Rann claims to just be an employee and it’s not her place to judge a shareholder. But Kanin just wants to know what she thinks of him – from a woman’s perspective. She calls him a capable businessman, and argues that having him on board it a great opportunity for the company. But Kanin argues that’s not a woman’s perspective and admits her wants Dean to get close to Lené, and wants Rann to help him bringing them together. Rann promises to do her best. After the meeting, Rann clutches her necklace containing the thread she got from Lené’s funeral, and that’s where the episode ends – apart from a scene of Lené calling Rann jealous. ______ This cleared things up and made it more confusing at the same time. So, we know that Lené is attracted to Rann as well – which we could already guess, but it’s nice to see it confirmed, though we don’t know yet why Lené keeps pushing Run away. And Peem is spying on Lené and telling (her father?) about what she’s up to, which leads me to believe that Kanin has not the best intentions towards his own daughter. But I think that Rann is not reporting accurately to Kanin, and will probably not try to put Dean and Lené together. 😉I also still believe that Peem is ultimately innocent in Lené’s murder, but this episode did not boost my confidence. I also maintain that the “Greek choir’ of Ran’s work colleagues is more of a nuisance than funny or necessary as exposition. But I will tune in again next week, for sure.
