Episode Three: God's First Lie
Why would a creator lie to his creations?

Love this - ties nicely into Paradise Lost vibes (always felt Milton was lowkey rooting to satan)
Absolutely. Milton is a huge influence on me!
I've always found the bible story here to be oddly morally twisted (really, a thousand generations of women cursed to suffer and die in childbirth all because one woman ate a fruit?). I love your retelling, it matches the version that always made more sense to me, and with a dope art style.
Fascinating stuff! I appreciate how much hard work was clearly put into the art and overall style here. I'm immediately hooked and am looking forward to more.
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words.
Adam, Eve, and a snake named Steve - Shame it was short!
I’m very grateful I stumbled across this on Reddit today. It’s been a hot minute since a comic has struck me in such a way!!
I'm grateful you stumbled across it too!
Fantastic design direction. Any plans for purchases such as art quality prints?
Absolutely! I just got some test prints this week. I honestly wasn't prepared at all for the audience to grow so fast or I would have already had stuff like that ready. I'll make an announcement here and do a discount code for Patrons when it goes live!
Let me first state that this is in no way a judgement on this comic. I have just subbed and finished reading the first 3 episodes and just WOW! I'm not a comic book person, but I am hooked on yours. But God didn't lie, nor are we truly exiled. We need only choose to return to the Garden, and live in equilibrium with the natural world again to return. The garden is the state we were in before the Agricultural Revolution. It's not a physical location. It's about our relationship with the biosphere and each other.
I love all these interpretations, and want to be clear I'm definitely not making any religious statement, I just thought that this interpretation makes a cooler comic, which is always my primary goal. That's why I put the words into a group of characters that are attacking Eden. What is their motivation? Are they the liars? We're going to find out more about that is future installments!
Another new sub from Reddit here - just wow... I'm pumped to see where this series goes! Seriously masterful stuff
Thanks! Appreciate you being here!
I just stumbled across your comics on reddit and they are increible. I love your art style. Is there any chance you also have your comics available in some sort of e-reader comaptible format? (Epub, pdf, or maybe cbz)
When I do a chapter collection I'm definitely going to do digital formats!
Thanks for asking. I will read your next comic episode for sure.
Thanks, hopefully you enjoy the next installment even more!
Amazing artwork, incredible themes. Thank you as always.
Thanks you for reading it. I'm glad the themes are resonating with you!
I've thought for years that if any god exists then the highest goal our civilization can have is to find and kill it. Gods are an existential threat to sentient life.
That's definitely one of the central theme of the comic in many ways. If Gods are real and act with, for better or worse, human emotion then how should we respond to that?
