🦋 Butterfly Collection - 3 Species Set
This set includes 3 beautifully detailed butterflies, each with its own base, caterpillar, and chrysalis (pupa) stage:
Old World Swallowtail (Papilio machaon)
Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus)
European Peacock (Aglais io)
Each butterfly comes with:
🦋 A dedicated base with matching elements
🐛 Caterpillar stage
🟢 Chrysalis (pupa) stage
Additionally, every species includes:
📄 A4 printable sheets with:
Life cycle diagrams and fun facts translated into 11 languages
🏷️ Small labels for bases - you can print them on A4, laminate and cut them out, or simply glue them in place so each butterfly is clearly described.
🖨 Files included:
Pre-colored 3MF files (recommended) for A1 Mini and larger printers
STL files oriented for optimal printing
Due to the complexity of painting, I strongly recommend using the prepared 3MF files.
📦 Assembly:
A short PDF instruction is included.
For the chrysalis elements (selected species), use the included flat connectors when gluing them in place - this significantly improves stability.
⚠️ Note: If you want to use the hanging thread element for the Old World Swallowtail chrysalis, make sure to attach it before gluing the leaves to the stem.

for those of us without 3mf, can we get a template for the lines for the wings for painting? or turn wings into puzzle
Hey - open the image of the butterfly you want to paint, then open the STL in your slicer, choose the Fill painting tool, and click on the individual parts - they’ll highlight as you go. You’ll be able to paint the whole butterfly manually really quickly 🙂 And if it turns out a bit different than mine, even better - it’ll be unique! Every butterfly is a little different anyway. Still, I always recommend the 3MF files - less work for you, I already did it for you 😄

Question, if I do not have Orca Slicer will it still work in Bambu?
It will print in Bambu Studio, but you may notice small black dots appearing around the 4th layer. Using Orca Slicer and adjusting the setting I mentioned helps eliminate this issue.
When I download the Peacock Butterfly it is not 3MF. It is brown.

OMG, Thank you SO much. I sell at a Butterfly Festival in July, so these are perfect. I will do a set to donate for raffle and some to sell. I am SO excited for these. I actually raise Swallowtails in my front yard!
