Do you need a fishing mini-game plugin?
There was an idea to create a plugin for a fishing mini-game. Something similiar to Graveyard Keeper and Stardew Valley games fishing mechanics.
Do you think it's worth spend time on it?
Do you have suggestions how fishing should look like, what functions should it have? Write in the comments

I have fishing in my game already but I'd fucking love a plugin mate, I dare say I "NEED" a fishing game plugin in my life.
yes,this a good idea
I would love a fishing mini-game!
While I have been working on my own evented fishing mini game, im always interested in seeing what can be done through a plugin. So far, my system simply consists of a modification of the QTE event tutorial posted to the rpg maker forums, by hiddenone. When the event starts a blue bar with 2 red end zones comes up. Then I have a fish and a fishing rod icon. The fish moves back and forth across the bar, changing direction from left to right, at the earliest, only after the half way point. The player controls the rod with the 'okay' key. The rod begins in the left end zone, which the fish cannot enter. When the player presses and holds the okay key, the rod moves right. The objective is to 'hook' the fish by pressing the down arrow key while the rod is overlapping the fish. Its simple, but its a start. I'm thinking of a system where you have to perform a specific action depending on how the fish moves. Say the fish swims right, the player then has to pull left, and vice versa. The problem with a directional system is that rpg makers native view is limited to 2d. Maybe a system with 2 gauges, 1 to represent the tension of the line and 1 to represent the fatigue of the fish. The player would need to wear down the fish without breaking the line. Which is similar to how Stardew works but the visuals are different. I guess a 2d Sideview scene would work for something like that. The fish could move up, down, towards and away from the player, which could handle all of the various situations. Hopefully this gets the ball rolling on some other good examples. I really do enjoy a fishing minigame.
This system already exists, but you could do it cooler with different fish traps or whatever. Probably a plugin about casino mini games or a card game could be even better.
I don't care about the actual gameplay, something like pokemon fishing is okay for me, what I really want is a system that differentiates fishes according to weight/size. With the option to find treasures instead of fishes once in a while.
By the way, update for Alpha ABS (mv) already done, on testing.
