I Was The Worst Guest at Australia's Best Reviewed Hotel

In a God-forsaken little village in the heart of Slovakia, three friends grew up together - Sebastian, Ronald, and Peter. Their entire lives revolved around the Gospel, the word of God, and the church.

Then, by a twist of fate, Sebastian received a job offer in Australia. A boy who until then had known little beyond barns and pigsties suddenly had the chance to earn unimaginable amounts of money and experience a completely different culture on the other side of the world.

And so he said goodbye to his 13-member family, Ronald, and Peter, and left for Daylesford, Australia, to work on construction sites.

But he stayed in touch with his friends back home. They would read Bible psalms to each other through voice messages and laugh about how few Orthodox Protestants there seemed to be down under.

Until one day, Ronald and Peter received a gift from their families - a trip to the other side of the world to visit Sebastian!

Sure, it required selling the family farm and Ronald’s sister’s virginity, but if not now, then when would they ever get the chance to visit the mythical land of Australia - especially when they already had a friend there who could double as their tour guide?

And so these two uncultured villagers set off on a journey across half the planet to experience a culture that doesn’t pray four times a day, showers regularly, doesn’t walk around naked in public, and understands at least the absolute basics of decent behavior.

Unlike our two heroes.

The worst part about this clash between Eastern Europe and Australia, however, is that Ronald and Peter will be staying at the best-reviewed hotel in an entire country of 27 million people, kangaroos, and animals seemingly designed to kill you.

There is absolutely no way this can end well.
