Episode 1 pt. 5 - Weekly Update #4

I've got news. Not good or bad, just news.

Firstly, I'm done writing the script and am about to move to rendering images and animations. Which is awesome! But.

Secondly, remember how I kept talking about being inspired lately and writing a lot of text? Yeaaaah, I'm gonna need to divide the last part of the episode into two parts again. When I said I was done writing the script, I actually meant that I was done writing half of it. And it's wordcount is already bigger than the last two updates combined.

So, for the sake of bringing a new game update quicker and also not burning myself out rendering the whole update later, we've decided to split the script. In case you're curious, in my original plan for this update, I wanted to include about 9 random encounters for Cara, Jane and the agents. The script I wrote includes 2 of them. And it's already way. Too. LONG. That's what I meant in the last weekly update when I talked about throwing stuff out of the script. If my prolific writing period continues, I'll still probably need to throw out some minor encounters and it'll still be a pretty hefty chunk of text.

So yeah, long story short, there will be two more updates for Episode 1, the first of them will most likely come out by the end of April.

Who knows, if people like the scenes I wrote already, I may make a series of polls to determine which scenes are discarded. Maybe you guys and gals will vote to keep all of them.
