LONGFORD 1967 – ADD-ONS

This is the original track (not created by me) including a pack of add-ons (created by me) and features the following visual enhancements :-

1)Three animated trains, representing engines and carriages that operated during this period. They travel along the actual train tracks.

2)Two animated motor boats, with animated propeller washes, including a rescue boat, that probably operated during this period.

3)Four animated biplanes, that do various aerobatics and fly-pasts. Not necessarily period-correct, but they add a bit of visual interest.

4)The railway level crossing lights now flash red, and in the correct alternating sequence. Some AC variations of this track had flashing lights in the wrong colour, and in the wrong sequence.

5)Four new Replay Camera sets, including Helicams and some high-altitude views, showcasing the incredible detail made by the original track creator, Woochoo (also known as SW, a fellow Tasmanian).

6)Updated circuit signwriting, now showing the period-correct liveries.

7)Updated officials/flag marshal stands. For some reason, in certain variations of this AC track conversion, the models were duplicated, and conflicted with each other, and the textures were missing. Affected stands were at Mountford Corner, Newry Corner, and just past the start line.

PRE-REQUISITES : Content Manager and Custom Shader Patch, to provide animations, including animated grass, and waves on the water.

Some interesting facts – when Formula 1 cars raced at Longford in the 1960’s, scuba divers were positioned by the bridges, to rescue drivers, in case a car crashed into the river. Also, it was recorded that race meetings were suspended to allow trains to pass over the part of the track where the level crossing is situated.
