Cars that Raced in the Tasman Series 1966, Big Thank You to a friend from another Discord Page for Creating the Series and Skins and to the Original Creator Mac Ten and Bazza.
Really needed them in Game as it was a Big part of Australian and New Zealand Racing History.
1967 and 1968 to Come.
The 1966 Tasman Championship for Drivers was a motor racing competition for racing cars[1] complying with the Tasman Formula.[2] The championship was jointly organised by the Association of New Zealand Car Clubs Inc. and the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport.[1] It began on 8 January 1966 and ended on 7 March after eight races, four of which were staged in New Zealand and the remainder in Australia.[1] The winning driver was declared Tasman Champion and was awarded the Tasman Cup.[1]
The championship, which was the third Tasman Series, was won by Jackie Stewart driving a BRM P261.

What a fantastic championship. The cars are amazing and feel so realistic. . I cannot wait to test the Longford 1967 track you just posted with these cars. Many thanks for sharing this gem.
BRM P261, I'm getting strange graphic glitches in replays. Vertical lines covering the center of the screen and other objects appearing near the BRM.

I tested that mod on Longford'67 and I am absolutely stoked! Even though the track has bad AI lines the cars race really well and AI start better than the average AC cars. The cars drive absolutely lovely...seem to have a bit more grip than the 67 F1 cars and a bit less power (of course, as they only had 1.5l and 2.5l engines) So all in all really really good. Did a race against 17 AI, started from 12th and worked my way up to 3rd. Most fun I had for a long time racing the AI. Excellent work guys!
Adding to that...haven't looked at all the cars, but at least some of them have the modern standard Kunos driver. Maybe on the next update you can add the 60's driver.
I experience a csp crash at startup with the BT10, anyone has this issue ? Thanx for amazing job !

This is great news! Please research the Alton AR2 that was designed and built by Tony Caldersmith expliclty for the Tasman series. I own that car. Sadly it isn't in a driveable state, just now. Let me know and I'll see what phoitos I can get for you if needed. I forgot to mention the car was based on a Lotus, with a Holden 6 cyl grey motor. Sadly it never got to race, but I'd love to see a mopdel of it made.
Will the Tasman series tracks come as well? Like pukukoe, levin, wigwram, teratonga, warick farm, lakeside, sandown and Longford?
Hi Shane there are some amazing tracks out there but a early Lakeside, Sandown and Others are being worked on now. Assetto Mods has a amazing Warwick Farm We are working on a Longford 1966 skin for the track. Sergio Loro Pukekohe cant be beat its just amazing
