How to Use the Shadow Skill Line | Rules Explained | The Elder Scrolls: BotSE
This is an early-access video for Patreon members as a way of saying thank you, so you can watch it here first. This video will be made public on YouTube at a later date.
In this video, I break down how the Shadow skill line works in The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era. I go through each of the dice, explain how the abilities work, highlight common rules points, and share practical tips on how to use Shadow effectively for your characters. Whether you’re considering building around it or just want to better understand how the skill line functions, this guide should help clarify how it plays at the table

Hey Now...Just joined your Patreon. I have the base and am looking forward to the new content (founded have put coin on). Your accent makes me think of Lvov or maybe the big north of Russia...just a friendly question. The camera and audio is spot on. Best and blessings on you and yours. Thanks so much, Mike, and welcome to Patreon! Really appreciate the kind words. Haha, good guess! I was actually born in Moscow and moved to the UK in 2022, so there’s definitely still a bit of an accent there 🙂 I don’t usually talk much about my personal life, but if you’re curious, I did chat a bit about my background in the interview with Neon Gorilla: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OemP3S7LZEM
Daniel. Can you clarify about stealth and enemy movement? If an adventurer has a stealth die , then they can’t be targeted so does that mean enemies don’t move towards them ? If both adventurers have stealth then do the enemy units just stay still.
* both adventurers in a 2 character game.
Unboxing sounds good. No harm in giving yourself an easier video to make too 😀
Thanks for this video. I had/have a bit hard time understanding all of this skill line, so your video helps alot 👍 Now i feel ready for some funny builds. Also please make a unpacking video when you gets the new content from CTG.
Thanks Martin, I’m so glad to hear the video was helpful! 🙂 As for the unboxing, genuine question: do you see much value in unboxing videos? To be honest, they’ve always felt like fairly low-effort content to me, not really the kind of videos I’d normally want to make. But maybe I’m wrong, so I’m genuinely curious to hear your thoughts
