State of the Network 9/4/2016
So I have had a lot of personal problems going on within my life over the last few months, and it is no secret that during the summer, the content slowed down greatly. Well, I am incredibly excited to announce that all of the problems are behind me, and September is going to be a crazy month for the channels. So let's go over all the plans I have for this month, including some info you will only read about here!
First, I am finally getting the time to continue of the big "History of" projects, and I am aiming on releasing one a month until the end of the year. For this month, I will be talking about the unreleased and very unknown Valve game, 3Wave CTF. This game started as a Quake 1 mod, and somehow got ported into Half-Life's engine using a lot of the Deathmatch Classic assets. It has been possible to find the game files on the internet for over ten years now, but in an incredibly broken and unplayable state. There is a big surprise at the end of this video, and I won't ruin it even here. Just keep in mind that I will be showing off stuff no one has seen before outside of Valve. So look forward to this.
Another project I am looking to revitalize is the News Network-Cast, which should also be returning in October at the latest. It would be a twice monthly podcast where I and a guest talk about anything that the community requests, as long as it's safe for work and in good taste. I'm currently talking to some other Valve & Game Youtubers around my size to have in the rotation of guests. If anyone has any ideas for this show, feel free to send me a message over Patreon.
Lastly, is the topic of competition, and how a YouTuber has to compete in order to stay in business. I'm currently seeing a channel under the name of Valve Guides gaining a huge foothold very quickly, and although I have no problem with the content this channel makes, I feel I have to try and compete. The problem I face is that the content this channel makes get's a bad rap due to the "Clickbatey" nature of the titles and thumbnails. So I had an idea on how to make content similar to this in order to compete, yet still retain some sense of "Journalistic Integrity" or whatever people complain about when they see these things. When I do research and outlining for the big "History" projects, I always find info and facts that I am never able to properly fit within the flow of the script. I like to keep all video scripts flowing, so one story properly flows into another with no real start and end to each. So there are always interesting details not many people know about that don't end up in the finished video. This is very true of the Portal video, which would have a "Top 20" list of things I didn't include that people don't know at all. So I'm thinking after I finish the professional and long History video, I could make a shorter list of unknown facts of the same topic. It would have a slightly clicky title, but I feel I could justify it with the quality of video, and the fact that the info is actually unknown. I feel that this may be the best way to compete, however if anyone else has a good idea, feel free to tell me.
Anyways, that is everything I am working on for September, aside from Nintendo Videos returning this month, first with a huge "Comprehensive History of the NX". I hope you enjoy the stuff I release, and thank you very much for supporting the Ptreon and reaming patient with me though the summer.

Its about how people search for the content they are looking for. Most of the people prefers "top 10/5" tag included to the searching.I myself tried "top 10 facts about Half-Life 3" many times before I found your channel. And somehow, youtube also loves to show "top" videos. You should give it a try and see the result with your very own eyes.Keep in mind that your content is always better than others'
Valve Guides shouldn't be a threat, he only makes CS:GO videos on the top 10 reasons why valve hates CS:GO
