JessiBun Announcement Time

Hello!

My name is Jessi

You may have seen me around the Discord server, you may know about me from previous update announcements from Buxi, or more than likely you’ve met me as “Selene’s assistant” in Overconfident Exorcist.

I’ve been behind the scenes helping out and commissioning what may have been some of your favorite scenes. Namely Neb’s alternate ending in Crystal Desires, the map overhaul update for OE, a Selene scene or two, and everything involving your favorite skunk-girl Violet. I come with this message today to bring disappointing news, but not without reason or payoff.

The latest Violet scene is one hell of a piece. Looking at a minimum of 140 renders plus two unique mini-games, this is the largest scene Buxi has ever put together. This commission is paid for with a hefty chunk of cash, and I’ve been working closely with Buxi to perfect every render. That being said, the workload has turned out to be more than either one of us anticipated. While those ~140 renders are nearly finished, there’s still one mini-game to complete, a lot of writing, and a lot of RPGM work.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this update will probably need an additional week to cook. The planned release date was to be the 16th of August. Thanks to adjustments and revisions, and a little bit of my own personal indulgence, we’re looking at a possible release date of the 23rd. This is if everything meets the current schedule. In a worst case scenario, the update is guaranteed by the end of the month.

I know that’s disappointing, but I can promise that it will be worth the wait, and this scene/update will be better and more polished because of that wait. I appreciate your patience, and as the commissioner of this scene, and the one who’s really responsible for the delay, I felt I owed Buxi’s fans my own announcement/explanation.

For those fans who aren’t partial to Violet’s type of content, I also offer an apology. Next month Buxi will be back on track freely working on other types of content, and that will likely be the case until my next big project/commission idea. Thank you again everyone. Cheers to the Best Dev~ and to all of you for your support.
