The goal of art remains to stir something in the heart of the audience. Sadly, it succeeded, in this case, even if something remains. Something subtle, maybe the width, makes the Cryptek(? I'm not great at Necrons) look all droopy in the frill at the end.

Excellent ! at the same time, of the seven deadly sins, Gluttony and Lust would be hard to illustrate in their case. So Envy. And besides, that really proves the presence of a soul and emotions. Pride must be there, too. I think Sloth would be interesting for the Necron—when you’re an immortal machine, putting things off until tomorrow or the next century must be pretty tempting. Getting back to Gluttony, there’s a scene in *Titans* (the live-action series—not always great) that’s pretty memorable, where Robotman laments no longer having a sense of taste—and watches Raven devour waffles. Imagine a Necron chef, trapped for millennia in a body without a sense of smell or taste, force-feeding his prisoners so he can taste vicariously through them.

Maybe by looking at those pieces of art, they make him remember about what the Necrontyrs lost when they became Necrons. A pure act of anger and sorrow.

Interesting that in instinctively keeping the collar, the Kryptek is more in tune with the soul he once had than his lord. Maybe the lord intent to try and drown in his indifference to quell his despair ?
