Feyn this is a romcon bit. The bite is the part that sells it as such. It guves them a chaotic playful energy. I do love the undercurrent of tragedy here. The level of indoctrination clashing face first into "done with this shit" professionalism
Have you never heard of "love bites"?
Nice to see a Gue'vesa isn't automatically a polite goodie-two-shoes. Good on her for not putting up with it.
I see integration is going well.
On the one hand, I fully respect both the fact that not everything needs to be a romance and also that authors can have their own intentions. on the other hand, if you don't want something to be interpreted as a rom-com, do not write and or draw it like the beginning of a rom-com. also speaking as someone who definitely isn't a drukhari infiltrator, and why would you suggest that I was, I believe that love can bloom even in an interrogation room. also the part of my brain that is Homestuck trash is going "you know there's words for this type of relationship."
Oh I'm fine with people shipping! I definitely shipped characters that's 100% not in any romantic relationship I just wanted to clarify my intention so people won't get disappointed(?) later
Ah... first dates...
Nope. Sorry, Feyn. You've just made it hotter.
Mmmm, hand burger - Guardswoman, probably
Amazing work!
No romance? Then what do you call this? I’ve watched animes before!
Cute pair of goofballs.
Non-related to this, but I wanted to ask something. There’s a tiny T’au story, Fire & Ice, written by Peter Fehervari. You ever see it? It’s all but non-canonical, but I found it very well-told. There’s one tiny tidbit in the story that I’ve always loved and kept with me. I’ll tell you if you want, or not if you want to see it yourself.
I haven't read it, but I liked other his works so I think I'll check it out later But it could be kinda later so if it's not very spoiler-ish you can tell me!
I mean, genuinely, I don't need romance. Close genuine male female friendship is rare enough in media
Uhh it's not friendship either, but I get what you mean :)
> Says there is no romance > Shows another scene straight out of the start to a rom-com Sorry Feyn, we don't make the rules here
Not everything has to be a romance.
Honeslty as funny as this skit is, there is something disturbing about using the word “belong” In this context. Not « part of » not « loyal », faithful, or Devoted but Belong, A word That more often use to describe an object, a property rather then a living fellow man or woman. And the fact that she says it so proudly and wrathfully, it make it feel she’s proud of being, a possession. A product. It’s horrifically dehumanizing, and oddly fitting for the imperium where your born as a pawn to be tossed on the board and can end up as cyborg appliance or a can of food for your fellow downtrodden. Pure horror there is in such levels of endoctrinement, to be proud of being the emperor property and proudly calling yourself and your kind so.
It reminds me how I played Imperium Maledictim as a mechanicus-acolite, who happily considered himself a product and property of Adeptus Mechanicus :D After seeing how organically this twist had played out I can't perceive seriously any accusations that T'au are vile collectivists
"Ohh, harder!" "Wha?" "What?"
One step closer to the chaos
She looked like she was into it for a second
None at all.
Imagine something as Grim as 40K but the graphics are akin to Tom and Jerry or Looney Toons
"Whoa hey, going after their mom is too far.." ~ The Emperor of Mankind
You SURE there’s no romance here?
Well the closest thing to romance here is that she's eating him lol (literally)
