Traitor

I am starting to think the reason that other human powers are seldom mentioned in the lore is because the Imperium is either ignorant of them or sees them as an heresy that must be corrected, it would not surprise to find out that the average citizen believes all humans know of the Emperor cult or that they all think exactly the same way.
"Traitor" implies that one has feigned loyalty before eventually violating it, which doesn't apply to someone who has never sworn loyalty to your allegiance. But of course, that doesn't matter to the Imperium of Man; it upholds a non-negotiable belief in a Manifest Destiny that dictates it holds absolute authority over all humans across the universe, and thus it expects every human to automatically side with it as the obviously sole dominant human-governed polity in existence. Any refusal to do so marks the human as a species traitor, without exception or consideration for anything.
Warhammer 40K's scope it's easy to forget that some humans worlds have been held by the Tau longer than Protestantism.
"No, no. He's got a point."
I remember Ciaphas Cain's reaction to meeting one and is like, "You poor, poor brainwashed fool."
Not as if the Imperium would "take him back" either.
The confusion on his face is great.
Huh, I never thought about this occurring.
I like to think there's some weeb guardsman somewhere who saw the Tau mechs and power suits and was like "yo I want in"
Real "I did it 35 minutes ago" vibes. For the guardswoman, at least
Amazing work!
What do the T’au teach about the Imperium to Humans born on their side of the world?
I don't think it has been specified in lore Nothing good probably
“You betrayed the emperor!” “Sorry I don’t believe in superstitions, Gue’la”
Or Alternatively. "Sorry, I worship the Tau'va."
She's gonna need a few minutes to come up with a retort lol
