Well done art, raises some interesting questions. I imagine she was a random civilian who was tortured by Imperials under suspicion of T'au sympathy, which broke her mind (and view of herself as human).

Why not Tau wannabes? I remember in Shadowrun, an old RPG, there were elf wannabes.
There's some in the first Cain book, blue skin paint and all that, though I don't recall them having gone as far as removing a finger.

Poor thing, could've made her disguise more effective by chopping off the pinkie and that part of the hand connected.
The pinky finger is genuinly more important for holding a lot of things though. Doing it this way has less impact on her performance, making her a more effective servant of The Greater Good.
