How to Load your Save Files
Save files from previous versions can be used in this new version without any issues. (Based on testing with save files provided by players, nearly all of them loaded successfully in the new version. The only exceptions were a very small number of saves created in passages that have since been removed from the game. Unless your save happens to be one of those rare cases, you should be able to continue playing without any issues.)
How to Back Up and Load Save Files
🔴 Red Box — Individual Save File
The Save and Load buttons under On Disk are used to download or upload one individual save file from the slot you are currently viewing.
Save files downloaded from previous versions also belong to this category and can be loaded using the Load button here.
🟡 Yellow Box — Save Bundle
This feature allows you to download all save files currently stored in your save slots at once.
The downloaded file will use the .savebundle extension.
You can later upload that .savebundle file to restore all of the included save slots at once.
Please note that this section only supports .savebundle files. Individual save files must be loaded using the Load button in the red-box section.
🟢 Green Box — Save Recovery
This is an additional backup feature created for players who previously experienced issues saving or downloading their save files.
Click Save Recovery and follow the instructions shown on the screen. This will allow you to copy the contents of all your save files as text.
You can save that text somewhere safe, such as a text document.
To restore it later:
Click Save Recovery Import.
Paste the previously copied save-recovery text into the empty field.
Follow the instructions to import it.
This allows you to restore your save data using only the copied text, without needing a save file.
