Nice
Going on three years later (and having only just become a patron, so I haven't seen this video before), I am still weirded out by the movie's bizarre COVID politics. Antagonists keep telling the protagonists to wear masks (or wear them correctly), and there's that scene where a room full of healthcare workers is extremely reluctant to get the vaccine.
I just finished reading The Naked Truth, the book in this video. One thing that really struck me is that is incredible how so many of the conspiracies surrounding CMKX back in 2007 are almost identical to the GME conspiracies that apes are peddling in 2024.
Btw, I'm now getting that Idris Elba Gold ad, that you mentioned on stream, all the time. Especially on Memory Alpha wikia
this has reminded me: a bunch of posters went up for this a few weeks ago and the one i pass by on my commute home has been vandalized such that the title is no longer visible
Ooh, excited to watch this. I went and saw the movie, expecting another "The Big Short" and came out of it vaguely unsettled. Then I watched "This is Financial Advice" and my opinion of the movie moved from "boring fluff piece" to "oh no, this is harmful".
Great timing on your video for this movie!
for a hot second I thought about seeing this movie just to know how they portrayed everything. thank you for giving me 1.8 hrs of my life back
Every time Dan adjusts his microphone, it looks like he's patting the other guy on the shoulder. Very wholesome.
What was the book referencing CMYK flashed midway through the vid by not-Dan?
I was going to ask that as well. He mentioned the name briefly, but I didn't catch it.
Can't believe you aren't vlogging in hfr
Hooray a Vlog!
