Progress update #21

"Since when are these numbered?"

We finally finished Chapter 1 with the newest paid release (v0.1.4). Also, the previous patreon exclusive release (v0.1.3) will be posted on itch.io next Monday.

Now that the real news have been delivered, I'd like to look back a little with a small rant about the game's premise.

The theme for the game was originally supposed to be "Scary/mean looking women with a sweet/kind inside (they only show it for you)", however it's turning out to be the other way around at this rate.

This initial idea was the reason why I gave her that second introduction in the fiery hallway having just blasted some dude. It was somewhat intended to be a tense moment like "Wow this guy just got shot like 20 times! And through the back, too! Who would do such a ruthless thing- oh hey look it's Natalya! Oooooh wait..."

However I also wanted people to actually like her a little and be invested so I ended up making her a bit too nice from the very start, I think. When it was supposed to be something that would take a bit more time to be revealed.

So afterwards I tried to show a bit more of her violent side and it hopefully made you say "Dang she's scary (but she's nice to me so sucks for everyone else I guess)".
