Announcements & Personal Updates

Hey everyone!

I hope you're all doing well. I have a few updates to share regarding my work and this Patreon (nothing bad, don't worry!).

Why I haven't been posting daily

As you've probably noticed, I haven't been posting daily sets lately. Instead, I’ve switched to a batch-release style, posting multiple sets at once every few days. I made this change after reflecting on how to lessen the impact on my mental health. Having the ability to take a few days "off" in between releases has been incredibly refreshing and helpful for me. Please don't worry too much, I'm planning to switch back to a daily schedule by the end of the month!

Why today's sets look a bit different

If you haven't checked out today's sets yet, I highly encourage you to do so. You might notice they look a bit different, and you'd be right! I used the extra time I gained from my batch schedule to implement some new techniques into my workflow. This required a massive overhaul of the art style and a lot of testing (I generated over 900 variations!), but it brings some huge benefits:

  • Higher resolution

  • Faster generation

  • A lot more detail

  • Better facial expressions

  • Better proportions

  • Fewer AI hallucinations and deformations

Today's sets were made using different late-stage iterations of this new workflow to show you how it's progressing. Since they all vary slightly, I’d love to hear which ones you prefer!

(Also, a quick note regarding "blacked" sets: I’ve always been open to doing them, I just hadn't done one in a while because I haven't received any commissions for them. While I don't plan on making them my main focus, please don't hesitate to let me know if you have strong feelings about them, positive or negative!)

Where is my commission?

I'm currently a bit behind on commissions, with 8 waiting for previews. I'll be sending those previews out a bit later today, so keep an eye on your DMs!
Also, I've been told there were some issues with last month's commission form. If you filled it out and never received anything, please DM me directly so I can get you sorted out.

What's to come?

I have a few ideas I'd like to implement in the future. Please don't take these as hard promises just yet, as I'm still figuring out if they are realistic, but here is what I'm working on:

  • Dual image selection: Right now, my workflow (like most AI workflows) works by generating a low-resolution image and upscaling it while adding details. I want to tweak this so it generates multiple low-res images first, then uses an aesthetic scorer algorithm to only upscale the absolute best one. This should improve consistency and reduce the amount of manual cleaning I have to do.

  • Commission schedule tracking: I want to build a small website or tracker that allows anyone to check the status of their commission and see a planned release date.

  • Custom/niche characters: I've been studying how to train AI models to support more niche characters and OCs. Because this takes a significant amount of time, it would likely be offered as an extra, but it's definitely something I want to provide in the future.

  • Custom scenarios: I've always wanted to offer more varied scenarios and scenes for my sets, but the time commitment held me back. Since my workflow is faster now, I'm going to try creating an AI app that generates scene prompts based on short descriptions. This would replace my current pose setup, make the sets feel more cohesive, and allow me to implement specific scenes, tones, or plot points at the commissioner's request. It's a very complicated process and I'm not 100% sure it's feasible yet, but I'll keep you all updated!
