April Plans
0.6 has now been out for over a week, I hope everyone that got to play it already enjoyed it, the support has been incredible as always!
I just wanted to do a quick update for what you can expect me to release in April, as well as some plans and previews for the next Feeder Simulator update.
Yes, I have already started renders on the next update, quite a lot in fact, that's because 0.6d will bring an unprecedented amount of remastered renders.
If you're one to restart your playthrough, you probably notice a lot of the early 0.1 and even 0.2 renders are starting to stick out like a sore thumb amongst the newest of my work, so I'm giving more or the early game a fresh new coat of paint with each update from this point forwards. (Example Below)
It's a big job, but I've already got almost 200 remastered renders ready to go in 0.6d, and much more to come!
There will still be new content though! I have 8 new stages and plenty of dream ideas that I'm working on too.
But what else is planned for April? Well aside from the usual side content like bonus image / video packs, stories, I'm actually getting to release a VERY early preview of another game I have been developing in the background on and off for a while. If you're in the discord you may have seen me mention it once or twice, but I may have a little preview of it for Tier 2 members coming (hopefully) in April.
For Kings Feast news, one of the main points of friction in development has been the sheer amount of fantasy style backgrounds needed. While experimenting with ways that I can make this manageable for a solo project, I have been testing my own stable diffusion workflow that runs locally on my machine, designed to turn my own photography (of which I have many years of unused backlog) into backgrounds with a more fantasy video game look than my original photos.
I understand that this can be a more controversial way of doing things, and that's why I would love some second opinions, is this something you'd be fine with in the background if it means more time can be spent on the gameplay & content?
I'd love to know your thoughts, and as always, you support means the world to me.
Thank you everyone!

I personally am not comfortable with AI in any artistic context. I hope you ultimately don't include anything produced with AI in this game, but I understand wanting to experiment with it.
Do not use AI generations, no matter what.
Not really a fan of using ai, but as long its not used for characters, I think it'll be fine
Cool paths you're going down with the games! Being specific with the models you're using and transparent with the way you source your training data is the most positive way to use these tools as a creative. If you keep putting in the elbow grease and don't get lazy in your quest to realize your vision, I don't think your work will get overshadowed by it.
you’ve more than proven that we’re going to get a quality product, so if some minimal AI tool use saves you some time more power to you.
I have no Problem with AI Art 🙂
I'd prefer no AI images be used personally. I love the remastered shots!
The landscape is beautiful. Is that a real photo of a real place?
The remastered shots look great! Def a big improvement. Not a huge fan of using AI at all, but running it locally and using your own photography is definitely the best way to do it, and I understand that it will save a lot of time for backgrounds. I'd say go for it!
The new renders looks really nice
