A little hello from me
Hi guys,
I know it’s been a long time since my last update. As you all know, it’s been really tough starting over, especially with everything that happened in my life. There’s a lot I want to share.
First, I’ve decided to lower the subscription fee to $1. I truly feel like I received far more support than I ever expected or deserved. Your support over the past year has meant so much to me, and it doesn’t feel right to continue charging the same amount. That said, I’ll keep the videos membership-only to maintain some level of privacy.
As for my channel, unfortunately, nothing has changed. I’ve tried in so many ways to restore my old channel, but nothing has worked. There’s a YouTube pilot program that allows creators to apply for a new channel after one year of termination, but it seems it’s not available to everyone yet. I reached out and was told they are “slowly rolling it out,” so all I can do is wait. It’s been over a year now, and I’ve come to accept that there may be no way to recover my channel or subscribers. What breaks my heart the most is losing all your comments—they were something I looked at every day for motivation.
As for what’s next, I honestly can’t say for sure yet. I’ve been trying to create new content over the past few months, but starting completely from scratch has been challenging and time-consuming. Since I’m not allowed to create a new channel under my original name, I’m also figuring that part out. I promise I will create new content, but I can’t say when or where just yet. If you happen to find me somewhere, I kindly ask that you don’t mention my previous channel and instead just support me quietly from within.
Even through all of this, I’m incredibly grateful. I’m so lucky to have such supportive subscribers and to be part of such a caring ASMR community. So many ASMR artists have reached out to help me through Patreon and Twitter, and I’m truly thankful. And to those of you who found me here, checked in on me, and continued to support me both emotionally and financially—I honestly don’t know what I did to deserve this much love.
I’m grateful I was able to bring you relaxation, and I’m deeply sorry that I can’t continue creating content as Genre. Thank you for keeping this page alive, even without new uploads.

Hi Genre! I know you must be going through a lot right now… would you ever consider making asmr just for Patreon - even if it’s lower quality than what you used to do? I wouldn’t mind paying more for it and I’m sure most of us wouldn’t mind either. Just a thought so you can get more financial support in the meantime and so you don’t have to feel bad about it because any content from you would be absolutely lovely!! 🥹🫶🏻
I've been thinking about it since You posted this update. And You know what? No. I'm not going to pay $1. Nor am I going to pay Your original asking price of $5. I'm joining Your Patreon membership at a slightly higher contribution than $5. Because You deserve it. Here's to brighter tomorrows!

What happened with your channel is so unfair—may the wrong eventually be righted. I wanted to mention— While you can’t actually watch the videos, I think most of your original content is accessible on the way back machine so you could at least retrieve descriptions, thumbnails, and some comments if you wish. Hoping I’ll stumble across new content when the time comes, may you get your groove back.
