The next episode of The Grid VR is well under way since the headset arrived at my door on Thursday, got lucky with the fast delivery!!

I've recorded footage of the headset, SteamOS menus, and gameplay over the past few days which will all be included in this episode.

It's a big one and includes my usual raw take on actually what's happening here. The good, and the issues that are getting lost in some of the hype noise but do add up to negatives worth knowing about.

Tread with caution, this headset is ONLY for those who are doing wireless PCVR streaming or those wanting to build software and get creative with it. If that's not you, avoid. If either of those are you, then there are a few things it does better than any other headset out there, more so than I initially thought.

Is it worth it? i don't entirely know yet... A few days in and its mixed emotions to be honest. Lets talk about it!

Runtime will be about 13 minutes, can't wait to share it, stay locked :]

Lucky! I'm still waiting on the wait-list for now, but hopefully that means I get the sorted out batch after initial problems reveal themselves in the first batch. I'm mostly excited about the allegedly rock solid wireless PCVR, but I've seen some VRTubers getting all kinds of things running natively on the Frame in stand alone mode. The big thing I'm hoping for is the alleged upgraded strap with over ear headphones and a swap-able battery in the back. Maybe that will be out by the time I get to order one of my own. I can't wait to hear what you think about the dual wi-fi and dongle mode. As someone who has gotten used to just 5ghz wi-fi on my Quest, I'm wondering if it would still make sense to upgrade my Wi-Fi router.

Can tell you right now the Wi-Fi dongle is excellent! It just works and super low latency, very impressed. Battery life is atrocious, hotswappable batteries will be mandatory for sure. Handful of early issues, and my left controller has a squeaky spring so there's plenty to work out! For all its faults though there's a few things to really like. I'd hate to wait, in saying that its going to come a long way so getting the 2nd batch will almost certainty be the best time to jump in and get amongst it without the annoyances :]
