Status Update #68 - June 28, 2026
I've comissioned some rainy versions of various backgrounds in the game, so I thought I'd select a rainy scene for this week's preview. I think the Griffin's Beak one looks quite nice.
So I'm not totally done with the writing, but I'm in the midst of doing the climactic scene of Pt. 2 right now. I fully expect to not only be done with the writing, but to have made significant progress on coding by this time next week. I really appreciate everyone's patience, and I'm happy to say everything appears to be proceeding efficiently. As I said last week, I've made it my mission to get the new release out in July, perhaps in conjunction with the Steam release, so the wait won't be for much longer!
I don't have too much else to add other than that the art I said was taking forever like a month ago is still not complete. It's getting goofy. I've been given a realistic number of another two weeks for it to be done; if that's the case, I still don't think it will interfere with the release of the game or hold it up in any way. If it takes longer I might have to resort to different measures and just get a different artist to do it.
This week's list:
Writing: 99% done
Coding: 0% done
CGs: All either made or in the process of being made
Animations: 1 more scene to do
Background Art: 100% Ready
Music: 100% Ready
That's all from me! Thank you, and have a great week.

Once noticed something very important. Dragana is being shown very often in previews and I was thinking how could she be dismantled by Vanessa. And I think that the only way possible way for her to fall is by so called "Death by thousands cuts" instead of normally dismantling her like normal person. Because she herself , similarly to Venssa is not so normal and they both reveal in extremes . Vanessa and Dragana are quite similar but total opposites of character. Vanessa can't push Dragana too hard or she will shut down as well. If she will keep pushing on something that does not bend it can only break. Whole ordeal needs to be done in exquisite wayof making sure that each cut that Dragana takes from Vanessa it is mostly her choice how she reacts, it's clear to me that she's not used since forever to think for herself so it is clear weakness of hers. But besides that only time can defeat her and patience and I wonder if Vanessa can find enough of both.
Two women, soaked by the rain, only one bathtub in the mansion 😏 I love where this is going.
You're such a romantic, my bro/sis
