Status Update #47 - February 1, 2026

Hey yo

I've gotten a lot of good writing done this week, as well as received a good deal of art for the next release. I will say that the whole "plot anxiety" thing I was talking about last week has persisted, as the majority of the stuff I've gotten done has been dialogue, always a lot easier for me to do, rather than grander planning. In a way, I think it's pretty interesting that I chose to write a story about political intrigue when that's one of the most "plot" heavy archetypes there is. Basically every event that occurs must contribute to a big chain of cause and effect, and everything has to make sense. Every character in the ever-growing cast has their own agenda, and I am determined to make a story that feels like one thing leads to the next, rather than giving people a more "insert arbitrary new storyline here" vibe. I'm confident that I'm up to the task, and I wouldn't want to be writing anything else, but it makes me wonder just how relaxing I would find it to write something more slice-of-life by comparison. I guess we'll find out, someday!

The latest bonus scene came out on the 30th, in case anyone missed it, and there will be a new NSFW preview for Ep. 2 Pt. 2 dropping in the next week! I really look forward to a day when I can maximize the amount of time I spend writing, because I'm just as eager as anyone for the story to continue!
