New Arrivals at the Ramshackle Ranch - Episode 27
It is with great joy that we bring you this week's episode featuring our largest creature yet on the Ramshackle Ranch. Weighing in at a whopping 290Kg is Jimmy a 3 year old Wessex Saddle Back cross boar. Fortunately, he is a gentle giant who puts up with quite a bit of nagging and badgering from the girls around the food trough and when they are on heat! We are incredibly excited to be expecting little piglets in March or April. Fingers crossed all our girls have fallen pregnant.
The self watering troughs for the animals are all set up now ready for us to drive up to Perth for 48 hours tomorrow to see Pascale's family. We will be driving back down on Christmas day to spend the rest of the festive season with Troy's family and the animals on the Ranch.

I was a sailor once, but not a live aboard like you, and I started life farming, and so seeing your intuitive and practical solutions is fascinating. So I鈥檓 still around! Gents, you made my transition from a Sailing lurker to a farm lurker quite interesting, entertaining, and at times, you've manage to get a good chuckle and a teary eye. I guess what I'm saying is, many of us like to follow you because of you. That's it. The kids got impromptu names on the day, but we have decided that goats suit old-timey names that have fallen out of favour. They seem fond of eating our flowers so those old names are reserved for future additions. Iris, Rose etc. Hugo regularly gets called Huge-O now as he is quite the glutton and looks very round. You really are going the whole hog on these puns by the way 馃槀 Merry Christmas and hope you have the very best of New Years.

It's growing more ramshackle by the month! We are expecting new chicks on boxing day as our hen went clunky on the 4th and we jammed 9 eggs under her. Have a great Christmas and our best wishes to you and yours. T&P
