Pimp My Tractor - Episode 17
It's the little things in life that make all the difference - even if that little thing weighs 80kg! No, we don't mean Troy, we mean the big red thing, a carry-all, hanging from the rear of our new tractor. It has been the first bit of steel fabrication on The Ramshackle Ranch.
Our tractor has been a real game changer, but missing was the ability to carry everything that might be needed out on the paddocks as we try to get things in real life aligned with our best laid plans.
As usual there is a little bit of our philosophy mixed up with the nitty gritty and a glimpse at the quieter times we enjoy so much. As things develop and our experience grows, we would love to hear from you if there is something you would like us to cover or if there is anything you think we haven't discussed.
Each day brings new challenges and attendant satisfactions that we feel lucky to be able to share with you all. Thank you for joining us on this road less travelled.
With regards and thank you as always
Troy and Pascale

Sailing and farming go together as both depend on the weather and the vagaries it brings. Instead of plowing furrows with your wake, you now are using the tractor. Maybe call it "minirool"?
Ahhhh...so calming and educational. Thank you!
Pascale, hearing the cooing chickens and watching them scratching a warm nest in the ground satisfied me on a level that blended perfectly with the start of this new day. A sunrise peeking around rain clouds, the rich aroma of fresh ground coffee, and one tabby cat with his 'straight up car antenna happy tail'. ✍️))) Thank You!
Glad we can share a little of the content ambience that our animals bring to our lives. We often laugh at our cats getting about with their RC wires straight up:)
Troy GREAT JOB.. you're builder guy skills know no end, that carrier turned out beautiful..I like the color you chose too! Nice piece of equipment, I'm sure it's fully paid for as well..which makes turning the key all that more (enjoyable..).
We are debt adverse...
find them a bore indeed!!!
Reeee!
That carry all looks very handy! I've wanted to become proficient at welding for years... Made a couple of practice welds under a watchful eye using a TIG welder, but guessing that would be too expensive (and overkill) for most applications. I'll buy an inexpensive arc welder to play around with at some point... Your pigs and chickens sure have it good at Ramshackle Ranch!
Arc welding is particles handy as it can be used in the wind outdoors, doesn't need bottled gas and now, with teeny inverter welder units, is very portable. If I was using more aluminium, I might get into MIG welding but for now, I'll stay low-brow.
What Christopher said, loving the farm episodes.
I’m rather enjoying your homestead videos, keep it up!
Thanks Christopher
