Anchored in a Seal Colony PLUS Eagle versus Drone! - Episode 176

Hi folks

We really enjoyed putting this one together with very fond memories of this wild and rugged place. It felt so good to arrive here after the difficult passage across the Bight even if that angry Wedge Tail Eagle drone attack was a bit nerve wracking!

This video was scheduled to be uploaded last week and we are currently out exploring Ningaloo Reef without reception. We hope to be in Exmouth to read your comments and respond to your questions soon!

Our best wishes to you and your families

Troy and Pascale

Was that a "Seal of Approval" of the "Scaffolding"? Jee you two make me wish for a feed of fresh fish, something we don't get in the Central West of NSW.

Francine and I love your episodes, this one especially. Southern WA Coast is so remote and so beautiful. Looking forward to all WA episodes.

Our pleasure Ian. WA makes our jobs a bit easier, though the sailing can get a bit hairy!

Scaffolding? I’m lost and yet I feel when you say it I will go “dickhead” 😀

Fantastic episode! Your seal and sea lion neighbors were wonderful! Great footage of them. Excellent that you were able to keep your distance while getting a close view for us all with your 300mm lens! Glad your drone survived, and especially happy the feisty eagle was unharmed. Good work to manage both!

Our favourite neighbours! Though the local neighbourhood watch program was a bit zealous. That eagle continued chasing everything for a mile around, staking out his turf.

What’s not to love with this video! Pascale cooking, Troy teaching us some more rope knots and snorkeling, this is definitely a keeper!

It was a little bit of nervous snorkelling in Great White Shark country but it turns out the main danger was in the sky!

TY for the video update. And you finally got in some undersea life footage. I know you folks have missed being out and about, where your fishing allows you to look in the eye of your dinner BEFORE you snag em...

Thanks Joseph and yes, we have been making up for our time away from the seas.

Really enjoyed the videography, under water, on the rocks and the dog fight in the air too. That’s a beautiful spot you picked to anchor there. I need to get down there and see it.

You definitely have my seal of approval. Hahaha 😂 incredible how similar the Western Australian coastline is to the Western Cape coastline. Lots of seals and kelp there too. Incredible swimmers. Beautiful video 📹 you two. So glad the drone wasn't downed by Mr. Angry. Best wishes from Berlin.
