Bit by a WOMBAT! - Episode 129

This week we take you to the stunning Maria Island, Tasmania's own "Noah's Ark". We get pretty well acquainted with the local wombats who, despite the title of this week's video, didn't seemed bothered by our presence. We think that might just be the general care-free attitude of wombats, they are so endearing, definitely my favourite Australian marsupial!

The island is also rich in history and we take you on a tour of some of the original European structures built on the island, as well as, a hike to the top of a stunning cliff and a tour of a 300 million year old fossil bed.

Enjoy lovely patrons, I think it is impossible to watch these wombats without smiling!

Pascale

You may hesitate to cuddle a Tiger Snake but they're definitely quite- striking... We've seen a few here and we do prefer the Wombats.

Love the wombats!! Wow! What interesting creatures. I'm reminded of the wild cockatoos in your earlier video. Thanks!

Wow! Thank you for my new life goal. I simply MUST get to Maria Island! Please don't tell the crocodiles but I may just love the 'bats even more! Speaking of love, love the music, love the videography and love the Pascy Giggles and really love the wombat with a branch! Hey, that would be a great band name! "Wombat with a Branch" ;-). Thanks a bazillion for your art and for being who you are.. Tim

Cheers Geoff. I take it you've visited there as well? I bet you saw something we didn't too. We were sad we didn't see Tassie Devils!

The Wombats are awesome, as well as all the birds, reptiles, and other marsupials you showed us. Looked like a challenging hike, with a very rewarding view. Thank you for taking us along!!

T
Troy and Pascale · May 8, 2020

It was challenging... Troy lost both his big toenails on the steep descent!
