Living Aboard Our Tiny Floating Home - Episode 78
With the conditions perfect, we sail through the Whitsundays to Airlie Beach in order to replace our dodgy impeller and prepare for the arrival of Pascale's family. Whilst we are there we decide to repair our leaky fresh water tank in the fo'c'sle cabin.
Hope you guys didn't mind watching more boat work! I guess that's all part and parcel of living in a 50 year old boat!
Pascale

Yeew! Fantastic! See you both then! 馃槉
Another great video! My stomach always sinks when I see patch up jobs on our floating home, fortunately no big ones through the hull as you found on Mirool. Hope you had a great Easter! Stay safe friends! :D
Thanks Liam! Hope to bump into you guys when we head north in June/July. Pascale
Another good Vid guys as always. Good Luck with your upcoming presentation at the RQYS I am sure it will go well. I trust you received the recipe I sent to you :)
Yes! Thank you Geoff looking forward to trying your Asian (Singapore) sting ray! Next time we're back up north in June we're going to try it...
Ah time for the Disposable Overalls again, or as our Workshop 'Tech at work calls them, 'Sperm Suits'. A good. Clear and Concise instructional on how to repair an integral water tank, also good because you found that Impact Point, surely it had to be something pretty pointed and hard to get through the Hull in such a small area? That's one hell of a spear gun! 馃槈
The mind boggles at what was hit previously, because it was such a well defined hole without lots of fractured glass pushed in around it. It was a long way below water line as well. I reckon it was a yard injury that happened while she was pulled out and quickly patched up if I was pressed to make a guess.
"Hurry up and wait" .... awesome life advice .... great video too ... :) ...
A concise summary of sailing advice.
I never tire of seeing boat work from you two! But I love the sailing, diving, fishing, and foraging too!!
I have to admit a preference for the sailing, diving, fishing and foraging!
Nice and dusty one, I am heading up to airlie in 2 weeks to do some hull repairs and Fibreglassing , thanks for all the tips in previous vids too, will definitely come in handy.
Hope it is all not too major and the jobs list stays the same size it is right now.
Living on a Columbia 8.7 I completely understand the need for constant order! If you let it go, your suddenly living in a dumpster! LoL 馃榾
Some days it seems we've sunk into entropy a lot deeper than others. Having a free locker for everything is to dream but I'm sure more space would eventually equate to more stuff!
A really good Video. I learn a lot of fibre glass works. Greetings from Germany
We have been doing a little more fibreglass repair than I would prefer but at least it means we have some good videos to share with you. Also, the comments to the videos have taught us a few things so it goes both ways.
Now I'm wondering whether Pascale uses the straight razor on her armpits :)
She's not quite that intrepid.
:)
:D
That is one sweet looking interior for a Clansman guess cleanliness is next to <insert deity="" here=""> -ness on a live on boat. My sports day sailor looks like a cross between a sail loft and the tip most days.</insert>
That must be Pascale's influence surely. She was in a bit of a state when I first took charge of her. (the yacht that is).
You must be a master at hiding your tools in cubby holes, Troy. You always seem to have the right tools when you need them, and I suspect that is a sign of good planning.
As Troy what the right tool is and you will understand
Happy Happy Joy Joy a new video!, Too sleepy to watch now. but tomorrow is another day :-)
Lol. We always appreciate the enthusiasm.
