Taking our girls on a date - Episode 70

Good morning patrons

The time had come to dry up our goats and find them a date so they can have babies in the Spring. Join us this week as we take Dot and Jude to meet Billy, a Nigerian Dwarf buck who will (hopefully) be siring us some new little goatlings in 5 month's time. There's also a visit to our new favourite water hole and Constance and I take you on a walk around the currently very crispy property with the usual entourage of goats, dogs and cats in tow.

Even though we're officially halfway through Autumn, the next couple of days are forecast to be clear and 30掳C (86掳F). So today we're heading out to the garden to harvest the last of our Summer crops since we've had to stop irrigating the garden so the dam doesn't dry up completely. Over the next week we're hoping to preserve what we can as we won't be planting anything new until water starts to fall from the sky again which, at this stage, looks like it might not be for another month from now.

Tomorrow we are off on our first 4WD adventure to the Yeagarup Dunes and the Warren River mouth. We've been wanting to visit for some time now but lacked a vehicle capable to the task. We'll be taking our film gear and look forward to sharing the adventure with you soon.

With gratitude

Troy, Pascale and Constance

Me too! So far so good - haven't noticed any "in season" behaviour

Another lovely video, thanks! I love getting to join you on walks and watching all the animals following you. The swim hole looks delightful, what a fun place for you and Constance to cool off.

You're welcome Janet. Finally a cool change here, no more waterhole swims until Summer now. We lit the fire last night but still waiting on the rain...
