An open letter to my fans and supporters: You deserve my honesty.
Alright, I know I've posted a lot of these lately.
Frankly, I wish I didn't have to.
(This is going to be a long one. There's a lot I need to say.)
I've been struggling to get the SCP (Momo) set out. Part of that was the surprise visit from my dad, which axed about 8 workdays out of my month. The other part: the set is MASSIVE. I got really inspired. Too ambitious for a one-month release.
But is that a bad thing? To be inspired and have the juices flowing?
It's a question I've been asking myself. And many of you have made comments about it on my discord and here on patreon.
Either way... it's a pickle, and the solution boils down to two choices:
A) Snuff the sparkle and ship on schedule.
B) Let it flourish and deliver the ART the way I intended to.
Making Art, or a factory-line product.
I've been on patreon for 8 years now, and while it is an amazing platform that allowed me to grow so much as an Artist. It does come with its set of constraints and obligations.
Patreon demands consistent monthly content so you get your money's worth. (That's normal, you should expect to get what you pay for.)
I take that seriously. So seriously, in fact, that I've worked myself to the bone: 12-hour days, sometimes no Sundays, for the past month (SCP now, Komi last time). Maybe to the detriment of the art or myself.
Game dev is in the same mess. (Actually, worse.)
The fact of the matter is...
Since 2025 I have not been the same. A year of anxiety attacks and medication took their toll. I thought I could get "Good old Gomu pre-2025" back ... the one who could pump image sets AND do game dev every month. But...
.. I'm not that person anymore.
And I don't know if I ever will be that person again.
I'm also older. Almost a decade of this and now I'm well in my 40s.
Energy levels are not going to improve going forward :p.
Now.. Deep breath.
This is not a burnout post. Not an "I quit" post. I'm not going anywhere. I'm not taking a break. Everything is fine. I know it sounds like it, but it's not.
But I have to be honest. With myself and with all of you.
For the past few weeks, I came to a realization.
The old Gomu (pre-2025 anxiety attack-free Gomu) is not likely coming back.
I need to accept that and work with it.
In retrospect, last week's dad visit and how ambitious this set got were a blessing in disguise. They forced me to look at reality. A lot of you already said as much here and on Discord.
So, once again... Here are my actual choice:
Cut things out. Kill game dev and other projects. And don't let the creative spark increase to set sizes. Keep things more "product" focused.
Stay flexible. Still deliver hundreds of pages, just maybe Part I now and Part II a week later. That way I can make the set properly and get back to game dev.
If you saw SCP SET (PART I), you already know what I picked.
I choose flexibility to preserve my flame.
I'm not a factory. I'm not an AI that spits out images on command.
I make art. And art requires passion.
No passion? No art or bad art.
It's that simple.
Now, before you freak out, allow me to clarify a few things.
I will not drop Part I and make you wait weeks or months for the rest. I know how much that sucks.
This is NOT turning sets into a two-month thing. I know that some might assume, but that's not what I'm doing here.
I'm just dropping the hard "before the end of the month" rule.
With a part I, you still get a big pile of pages. Then a few days, a week, or 10 days max, you get the rest.
(And please, rest assured, that because my stories have multiple beats and arks, I can cut them in ways that they are still enjoyable to read, even as a part I).
Image sets are the pillar of my content on Patreon.
But... they are not the only thing that matter to me (as artist) and others (the fans).
A lot of you joined for 3072 AD , OC content and the other projects. Pushing a fully finished set every single month has always been brutal. Even 4–5 years ago.
(To be clear, no, I'm not going back to full long OC sets. At least, not this time.)
The current gomu is older, weaker mentally and physically, and is starting to struggle.
I do not want to stop 3072 AD. It's my Baby. I want to finish it.
I do not want to drop other projects just to stay chained to sets. The femboy FINDOM game has a pile of assets I haven't even had time to show.
But it is very difficult to plan anything when I have to deliver a full "Mini book" level of writing and image content every single month at a specific, tight, time frame.
I've done it for eight years. But as I grow older, I'm not sure I can keep things up like this.
And still, I want another ten years of making art... at least. But eight years is a LOOOONG time.
And for that, I need more freedom, and my head also needs work things that aren't just "image sets". (Again, there are the pillars of the content. And will remain so.)
Vary the spices or the juice dries up.
Sets are not going anywhere. Hundreds of pages a month of content for you to enjoy?
Are not going anywhere.
I am not stretching one set across two months.
Most sets should land around 150–200 pages. 300–400 is the exception, when I get really inspired (Komi). Chonker sets like Komi and SCP should be exceptions, not the rule.
Some sets are fine at 150 pages; some, if I get inspired, may require a bit more.
It's not a science; it's not a boxed product. It's my artistic flow.
I'm just removing the end-of-month (hard date schedule) shackle and allowing myself to "slide" things a little bit (a few days to a week or so) when need be.
Because:
A) I don't want to kill my creative freedom.
B) I need to take care of myself or I will burn out. Not there yet. I can feel the cracks.
C) I need 15–20 days on a set, then 10–15 days on other stuff (game dev, OCs, whatever). That's the only way this still works at this point in my life.
This month:
SCP Part I (done).
SCP Part II next week.
Actual goddamn game dev. Finish Encasing in Rubber this month.
Work on Jill is not postponed. Will start drawing a lot of assets toward the end of the month. Previews incoming. Jill comes when it's ready next month.
You'll still get the content you deserve. Hundreds of pages.
All I ask is breathing room. Not to shackle myself to deadlines so tight I have none.
I will still be accountable for delivering what you deserve. I have many flaws, but I don't think anyone can say that I'm not a hard worker when it comes to delivering content.
And I will still work hard. Just healthier, more productive, and more realistic.
I'm sure most of you will understand.
And I'm also sure some of you won't like this. I get it. I don't like it either.
I still have to be honest.
Either way... Thank you for being here.
Some of you for years. I am lucky I get to make a living from this. That's you.
I need to keep the flame alive so I can do this for another decade.
Please trust me. This is a GOOD thing. You're not getting less. I'm just changing the pace to get my creative freedom back.
To be allowed to say
"Well this set is going to be massive; I got too inspired. But that's ok!"
or
"Okay, I've done enough image set content this month; I've got to put some time in 3072AD or other projects."
or
"My dad is here for a week. He's not well. I need to take a week to take care of it".
And not feel anxious and bad about it. While still being accountable and deliver what you deserve.
That's really all this is about, really.
If you read this far? Thank you. I know it's not as fun as a set.
That's it. I promise :p
Enjoy SCP (Part I now, Part II soon). It was a LOT of fun. I hope you feel that in the pages.
Take care!
Gomu!

I really like your works, but you've started to make them too long. As for me, 100 pages are golden middle and 150 pages are max. I've been reading this for two hours at least and on page 200 I started counting every page and hope it end sooner, because I tired, but I couldn't stop reading and masturbating because it too exciting. So, please, do works smaller (100 pages are perfect), and also there too many text and this text is too small, I have to zoom my screen to read it, and as color blind I saw half of the text max because it blend into background. Again, I really love your stories, just, I would be happy if they get smaller, without so much text and easier to read (larger text with collors that don't blend into background)... But you know, your recent work with Komi to 300 pages was much easier to read. So, I suppose that it is hard to read, when too much text with small letters, which very hard to read.
if you can approach this matter thoughtfully, set boundaries for yourself, and keep your options open, as long as you’re the only one who can decide where this journey is headed, and to be just as honest with you, it seems to me that you’ve already made that decision for yourself. ;)
I’ve been a Patreon supporter for a few years because I love your sets; the game is fantastic, and I can’t wait for the new release. But I also know that you need your time. So I’ll be patient for the new release. Thank you for all the hard work over the years and for doing a great job. This may sound presumptuous, but you could hire a coder or an assistant to help with your artwork or game development if the problem is time management. But as you said, you need inspiration to do great art. Go for it, and good luck.
I 100% support you on your journey to find a healthy balance between your needs and all your responsabilities. It's totally ok for me if there's no content uploaded for one or several months I consider your work to be the closest to my own deepest fantasies and I quite often go back and read some past ones I've enjoyed. When doing so, the best that can happen is when I'm dazzled by the sheer creativity that happens as the story unfolds. In my very personal opinion what you create is too important to be cut down because of schedules and unhealthy work ethic. I feel it would be 100% worth it to wait longer and get more works of yours for posterity. Stuff I could still look at years from now and still have the impact they have when they come out. I'm very happy to read this post and CAN definitively wait much longer for whatever your mind creates Thank you for your work and wish you the best !
Full support Rest, and don't feel bad about what you need.
Take as much time as you need and don't let yourself burn out.
I would always explicit pronounce myself for the art, never mind, how long it will take! Because if you are happy with your work, then can the outcome simple only be fantastic!
I can see both personally im more of a fan of doing what comes naturally and if youre feeling inspired it would be a waste to stop that just for the sake of release dates imo. I personally dont care if i wait a few more weeks, im not here to make demands :3 never was, ill just go with the flow
I think this is a good decision, that way you can continue enjoying what you like without feeling pressured or stressed. Take care uwu
Take your time. Honestly, I like your art, and I don't want to complain about anything since it's your vision and your ideas. So be patient, and don't worry about what other people say; just work at your own Rhythm so you can use your ideas freely, although I don't know you well but I support you, you're great.
It's cool, your health should come first, I've been a patron since 2018 and I rather have a longer wait than a substandard product.
i love your work, You know better what is best for you, but please, don't forget your first fan, those who were there when you started. i was a fan of you vore theme work, your non con work, deadly safari ect... i'm really waiting the clementine part in 3072 ad. I know it will happen one day. take care <3
If you like vore. Keep an eye for part 2 of the SCP set.
Thanks for sharing your honest journey. Life always has its unexpected bumps, and being an indie creator today is no easy feat. That said, for game development, modern AI coding tools have improved massively. Relying on them to handle the programming can save you tons of time and help bring your ideas to life efficiently. There are always more solutions than problems. I hope you can carve out a new, sustainable path forward under your current circumstances. We've got your back!
I am going to be very clear on this your health and sanity come first if it means you need to take longer to make something then that is fine as at the end of the day you are not a machine and you should not try to be one either. While I do like the monthly schedule that you have kept if you choose to get inspired by something and go above and beyond then what you normally do that is wonderful to hear if its going to take extra time then so be it I understand that quality takes time so don't rush yourself to meet some deadline you setup for yourself if it means your work or health suffers because of it. For everyone else to enjoy your work you yourself must first be able to enjoy making it, so don't restrict yourself or your inspiration to the expectations of others.
Gomu I think it's time you cut back on the sizes of the sets abit. These sets went from being like, 20 images to upwards of 200! I understand the desire to get ambitious I really do but I have to emphasize just how bad that is for the creative process. Eventually it can and will burn you out trust me I know, and then you're left feeling even worse than before. Passion is great but you have to temper it with reality a bit.
True, and I will (next set is not going be that long). But the problem isn't the set sizes as much as it is the schedule restrictions. Even if the sets are short, coming up with new stories every month is difficult, and there's no point cutting down on things just for the same of cutting down. If I cut down only to end up not enjoying my work, then I don't really see the point of continuing. There needs to be a middle ground to be sure. But I don't think the set sizes are the problem. It's the "monthly delivery" format that is the problem and causing me stress. I don't just make 400 pages for sake of it, I make 400 pages when I have story in my head and bringing that story requires 400 pages. That's a big difference. I'm not making things bigger because I like them bigger. Sometimes I just get a cool idea and that idea requires more time and effort. The once a month time frame only shackles what I can and can't do.
My friend, I've been following your work since 2019. You are the first artist I decided to give money to along with Melissa N. I've enjoyed both your work with passion for all these years and let me tell you: Melissa stretchs her stories over muuuuch longer without it stopping me from supporting her even tho I read one story a year (when she finish one). All that to say, take the time you need. I personally won't stop subscribing to your work if you take a breath, you are not a machine. Take care of yourself, don't burn out and keep enjoying what you do. ♥️
Well said
I'm glad you're choosing to keep your creativity healthy. Thank you for everything, I love your art and your honesty and I hope I'll be able to subscribe again soon to see your work again :3 Keep being awesome >.>
For me, Option B is my choice for this discussion topic. I think rushing work just to meet a deadline compromises its quality. You're free to adjust the schedule as needed—if working intently to achieve the perfection you want is what it takes, I'm more than happy for you to work to your heart's content. As for game development, it's not really something I'm interested in. If scrapping this part helps you focus on your work, that's entirely your call. (However, I think we should hold a meeting to vote on whether we should continue developing your game.)
Take as much time as you need, you and your mental health are more important than pleasing others, I myself have learned this the hard way, just take the time and not stress over deadlines etc your true fans will stick around and offer support
Hell yeah🔥
i feel like this is the best choice you can make and i fully support you in making it. i have always said that putting yourself first is the number one rule to follow and i look forward to seeing the things you will make with this new less restrictive schedule. have a great day and keep being the amazing person we all know you are
That sounds like a good plan!
I think youre on the right path for your creative journey. These decisions are logical and human, i support them and you.
