New Features in SeasonsTuner v2 for The Sims 4: Full Climate Control!
Hi all! Good to be back. SeasonsTuner v2.0 is a massive overhaul of the mod with new features to let you control just about every aspect of the Sims 4's climates and weather.

New Gardening Options!
While the mod already had Always In-Season as an option, I wanted to expand on this. Seasons touches on gardening a lot, so it feels appropriate to put this here instead of in one of my others. The only one that took a good bit of figuring out was always fertilized. For the other 2, we just freeze the stats on those plants that drive bugs and weeds or water decay. With the Always Fertilized, we put a new fertilizer on the plant every day at 5am around the same time that EA starts making fruit for all your mature gardening plants.
Now, let's get into weather stuff!
Global vs Regional Options
As I go on, I want to point out the mod has 2 key concepts. Regional options allow you to change the weather in a specific world. Global options control every world, and this menu is where you'll also find things that relate to gardening plants and how they function.
The most important thing to note is that if you alter global options, they impact every neighborhood and will alter them. If you set a global option but then go to a region, you can set up that region alone. Most players would want to just do a specific region, I think.
Minimum and Maximum Temperature
When you go into the Regional Options menu, you'll see the ranges across all the seasons for that specific world. If you like, you can clamp it, and if Sims 4 makes a weather event that is going to go below or above those ranges, we'll clamp it down to your preference as it happens.
Naturally the global setting is going to show you from freezing all the way to burning hot. You can limit all worlds with this.
Precipitation Chance
Precipitation chance is a bit weird because EA does weightings. I will show you the defaults for a region (min and max percent chance from early to late season). The game has early, mid and late season tunings. This will alter those weightings so if you set it to 25% it will dramatically cut down the number of rainy days. Setting it all the way to 300% will increase the odds of events a lot, but not so crazily that you won't have any other type of weather.
Leaf, Snow Accumulation and Foliage Colorshift/Reduction
Each of the regions has its own separate Seasons settings. You'll note not a lot differs in fall in Oasis Springs, while in WIllow Creek the leaves fall to the ground, snow accumulates, and the leaves on trees (and gardening plants) change color with the changing weather. You can eliminate these behaviors globally or in a particular region.
A note for pretty plants: if you want good-looking Gardening plants year-round, you need to turn off foliage reduction and may also need to get weather up to cool, at minimum while also getting rid of any snow accumulation. The reason is that gardening plants can get some snow on them and this has to be eliminated for the original model to show. Strangely enough, the desire to fix this is what got me working so hard on Seasons Tuner, resulting in the V2 you see here.
Always Sunny
Globally or per-region you can turn on always sunny. If the game tries to make a weather event that isn't sunny, we intercept it and change it. Works like a charm. I wanted this setting for folks so that they can have all the Seasons build/buy and other gameplay without dealing with weather. Sometimes I'd like weather, other times I'd find it disruptive and annoying. So if you're like me, enjoy!
Start Weather Events On-Demand
You can start particular events related to precipitation in the shift-click on ground menu with testingcheats on. I needed this here and not on the mailbox so you can do so while out and about! If there's desire to raise/lower temperature this way, let me know and I'll work it into the next version.
Disable Entire Seasons
While you must leave at least one season on at all times, you can skip up to 3 seasons of your choice by disabling them from the menu. When the end of a season is reached, it will be reverted and all calendar events rescheduled.

Your mods are always high up on my must have mods list. Thank you for you hard work! Is it going to be available for everyone anytime soon?
Hi Carl, hope you are well. My favorite mod from you is the Sim Spawner Mod, however I can no longer use it because it makes many of my sims miss work because they are randomly working jobs that should be limited to NPC's. I find it unrealistic that my Hedge Fund Managers or 5 star celebrities are also the cook at the local restaurant or the random street vendor etc Is there any possible way to create a version or at least give us the option to use only NPC's for service jobs? Thank you for your time and all you do for the game.
This is amazing!! Thanks so much.
Been hoping for a way to disable the trees dying for a long time. Would love to see an option to allow it in fall, but disable the reverse in spring where they basically un-die and it looks really gross and weird. Maybe a way to make the leaf colors different depending on season, so spring isn't just fall in reverse? Thank you. Sorry I got upset before, if you saw it. If you didn't see it, too. Sorry.
Yes, it was my biggest gripe with my mod. The weather to build buy pipe is weird in this game. We have so little control, but with those specific settings it is possible to get the pretty plants in winter. I thought foliage reduction would do it in v1, but even the tiniest bit of snow causes the plants to all switch models. Sooo we end up with this lol. And yeah, i saw. It's OK though.
This is brilliant!
Thanks! I hope it helps some folks.
Thanks, Carl! You are the best! 🥰
Happy to oblige! Good to see you around still Laurel :)
