Dev Update 09
Hey everyone!
We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a great start to the new year. We took a short break over the holidays and now we are back and ready to dive in. We have a lot planned for Edgefield in 2026, but for now, let's take a look at what we've been working on in the last month!
1. HookUp App / Feature Update Overview
We want to take a moment to set expectations for the upcoming HookUp App Update. As noted on the roadmap, this is a Feature Update. Rather than advancing existing storylines, its focus is on introducing a brand new game system that will become a long term part of Edgefield, while setting up a pipeline so we can easily add new characters and animations in all future updates.
In this update, players are introduced to the HookUp App and can swipe through a rotating pool of around thirty profiles before matching with two characters, one male and one female. These matches unlock repeatable evening encounters, each with their own progress meter that increases every time you invite them over. In the future, this system will unlock new sex positions. For now, each character will have one position available, along with an optional xray view.
Progress on this update is moving along nicely! We're finished with a large portion of it and are working with an animator who has been crushing it. We're really excited for you too see their work!
2. Dorm Lobby Background Change
In order to create a permanent place for you to find Jesse and/or Jane, we're making a change to the dorm lobby desk so they can properly perform their Residential Assistant duties! Good luck sneaking anyone in after curfew ;D
3. Jun Update Progress
Progress on Jun's Update is under way! With a lot of the work finalized for the HookUp App, we've begun work on Jun's update and will soon be adding that info to the Miro Board for our Patreon supporters who are interested in a behind the scenes look at our production schedule. Check that out here!
4. Jun Update Poll
We have a few polls planned for the Jun Update, and we are excited to start sharing more details about them soon. These polls will give you a direct hand in shaping the Jun update by helping decide the look of several brand new minor side characters who will be introduced alongside her story.
5. Playtesting
Because this HookUp App update is smaller in scope than Welcome Week, our playtesting needs will be more limited as well. We are still deciding the best way to handle playtesting for this update, so if you are interested in helping out, do not message us, but keep an eye out for more information coming soon.
6. Ella Wallpaper
Ella’s exclusive wallpaper will be coming soon for all Junior and Senior tier supporters. We are really excited to finally share this one with you, so keep an eye out for it very soon.
7. Progress Trackers
We're getting close! Writing is finished, art and animations are nearly complete, SFX just needs to be implemented and a few small scenes need to be assembled!

when is the new update? can't wait to play it
Just discovered the game - super sexy and fun! As a mainly gay (but also kinda bi) character, I'm loving the freedom, so thank you! Peter, Kerry, Quinn, and Trent (and maybe Jun) all have my attention ;) Some hopefully constructive criticism - I found myself running out of things to do on a given day in the demo, and was just clicking from location to location trying to find someone / something to interact with (and mainly ended up studying). Not a complaint, but it did feel a little.... empty at this point. I know it's early stages though! Thanks again for the demo. That cute MC and the rest of the college hijinks are great, can't wait to play more.

Hey so after exploring the demo as a gay man what're the chances we get to revenge-dom/cuckold Jesse for blueballing us with Peter? I just mean that forcing Jane to watch Elliot discipline Jesse would be super fun is all especially if Peter is watching
How will our saved game transfer over when this new update is published?
It will transfer automatically when you download the new versio!
I have to admit i like that Jesse and Jane are getting somewhere that we can see them and find them when we need to. I wonder if we will get a little mini game of sneaking past the desk after curfew! Very excited to see where the further updates go! Best part is still being able to be anything you desire. such an overlooked thing but seriously, seriously means so so much. Good luck with all the testing!

" Is this random who we can match or will you create all 30 profiles but only 2 get the content? And what if we dont like the matchable options? 😅
Haven't played past the first update since I wanna wait until there's a good amount of stuff to do but I'm excited for the updates! (especially any that involve Kerry)

Swipes so hard on Marcus and Scooter I need to work extra shifts at the diner to buy a new phone for my MC.
I love this game so much! I stumbled upon it randomly. Fell in love with it and honestly this is first game of this genre in the nsfw I have ever played. I have already played it multiple times. And will probably play a couple more times before the next update drops. I absolutely love the Miro board and seeing the progress first hand like that.
Im genuinely so excited for this and hoping for more opportunities to possibly end up hooking up with Jesse and Jane because im kind of obsessed with them

I really love the designs of the hookup characters, especially Marcus and Scooter. Glad to hear new positions will unlock in the future. Looking forward to this feature. Love that Jesse and Jane will be easier to find. Wonder if there will be ways we can distract them ;) Really love the Miro board and how you keep us up to date. Thank you. Excited for the update poll, I do like the model all the way to the left already.

This game is off to such a great start! So many AVN games are terrible, with plastic-looking 3D art formed in the Hellish nightmare that is the uncanny valley and just the worst dialogue. Your writers are great at establishing character voice, the banter feels natural, the art style is great, and you’re really thinking through game features early on and how they will help development. So impressed! Can’t wait to see everything you do in 2026!
