💡Glitched Hunter: DLSS 5 vs Traditional Renders

Hey everyone, PeakDark here!

I’ve been experimenting with something new for Glitched Hunter that I think is pretty interesting.

As you know, I put a lot of time into the game's renders and animations manually. Every scene is built by me from the character poses and expressions to the lighting, camera angles, environments, and all the small details that go into making a scene look the way I want.

Recently, I’ve been testing DLSS 5 real-time ray reconstruction and rendering with my existing workflow, and the difference can actually be pretty noticeable.

NORMAL RENDER

DLSS 5 RENDER

The important thing I want to clarify is that this isn't AI image generation.

DLSS 5 isn't creating the scene for me or changing the characters, poses, camera work, or artistic direction. All of that is still completely done manually by me.

Basically, I'm still doing all the actual work of creating the scene and DLSS is just helping the final render make better use of that work.

There is just one small problem... I'm currently running an RTX 2050, so while it can handle some of what I'm testing, DLSS 5 is definitely not something my GPU is particularly happy about. 😭Until I can eventually upgrade my PC, I'll probably keep experimenting and see what actually makes sense for the game without turning my computer into a space heater.

But I wanted to show you guys the difference and get your opinion and I will also be putting up a poll in my discord server so everyone can vote on which version they prefer. So if you haven't joined the Discord yet, make sure to join as your vote counts!

Thank you all so much for the continued support ❤️
