January 2026 Update

Hi all! Happy new year ❤️ Just a little update from me as we've started 2026.

As some of you might have noticed, I haven't posted any long form videos or speed builds in a while over on my YouTube channel, but instead been sharing shorts of my finished builds. I went through a burnout and rough period mentally earlier this Fall, which lead me to reevaluate a couple of things. One of them being spending way too much time editing videos and struggling to gain motivation to do voice overs.

Don't get me wrong, I love being able to share my stories and builds, but the amount of time (and stress) I put into it didn't feel worth it, unfortunately. I don't see myself going back to speed builds any time soon, but I'd love to continue my save file let's play one day. When that'll be, I don't know yet, but I hope I can continue it because there's so much to explore still. At least, I've been trying to manage my content and time better, and I find myself being able to finish up builds much quicker now that I don't have to worry about speed builds, which means I'll be able to share updates on my save file quicker. It's more manageable doing short form content for me, and it's definitely motivated me more. 

I also got a new job just a few weeks ago. It's not a lot quite yet, but hopefully in the future, I will be able to work more. It's at least a step in the right direction after being unemployed for a whole year. 

I do still stream over on twitch.tv/honeymaysims if anyone's interested in some real time building. Times may vary now that I switch between morning and evening shifts at work. Otherwise, I try my best to share photos and short videos of my content on mainly Facebook and Instagram.

Last but not least, I also wanted to share an update on my save file and how it's coming together. Admittedly, I haven't built as much in Windenburg and Brindleton Bay as I initially had planned. I've been feeling quite inspired to work on Copperdale and Sulani — and now more recently, Del Sol Valley as well. I'm super close to finishing Copperdale already and I'm halfway done with Sulani, which really surprised me. So, I'll attach some photos of how those worlds are looking so far.
