Release Postponement Notice & Right Hand Numbness Diagnosis
I've been saying for some time that I wouldn't be able to meet the planned release date, but no matter how hard I try, I just can't see any way to complete this game this year...
I apologize to everyone who has supported me up to this point, but I'll have to reschedule the release date to next year.I am truly sorry.
Considering the level of completion I am aiming for in the game and the need to balance housework and childcare, I have decided that there simply is not enough time and it will be difficult to complete it this year.
[Game Contents I'm Aiming for]
◆ Four stages
◆ Add a pregnancy and childbirth system for NPCs other than the protagonist
◆ Create skinship and childbirth animations for each NPC
◆ Add weapons
◆ Add hidden bosses, etc.
I'm currently creating the boss monster for stage 3, so all that's left to do is create stage 4 and its monster, and the story will be complete. However, we have yet to create NPC pregnancy and childbirth, skinship animations, weapons, hidden elements, etc.
I want to create all of these elements and do my best to make a game that I am satisfied with. We apologize for keeping everyone who is currently supporting us waiting.
We will definitely make a game that everyone will be satisfied with, so we hope you will continue to support us until the game is completed.
[Regarding the numbness in my right hand]
I went to an orthopedic surgeon the other day and, as expected, was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. After consulting with my doctor, the treatment plan was to use a compress and try to avoid putting stress on my right hand. I will try to avoid putting stress on my right hand as much as possible while working on my job and developing games, so I will continue to work on my project without stopping, so I appreciate your continued support!

in my opinion it'd be best to release the game itself (as in the 4 levels with a boss per level) when it's finished, with plans for a rerelease on completion of the auxiliary features. i personally always come back and replay small games like this when they release with new features, so by releasing what you have now you can cash in on the hype people have to play your game right now (which gradually diminishes the longer you wait to release), without necessarily "losing" any players by not releasing everything all at once. from a business perspective it also provides critical information about whether the auxiliary features are worth the development time/cost as well, since if it bombs you can bail and if people love it then you can invest more resources in building the new features out bigger and better than you would have otherwise. again, this is all just my personal opinion. but i am a big proponent of "chunking" big projects into 2-3 pieces as a compromise between the "one giant mega release" and "live service with many tiny iterative updates" tactics people tend to favor these days. also regarding your hand i am glad you saw a professional for it and caught it early! just trust your body and if it feels bad or you notice it start to feel worse, slow down and pay close attention. times have changed, you can straight-up text your doctor questions using patient portals etc. feel better!
So there's also the option of not finishing everything at once, observing player reactions, and gradually filling in the game content with updates... I see... Since this is my first game development project, I've been working on it with the goal of giving players a certain level of satisfaction when the game is released. We'll need to think more about our approach to that aspect in future game development!
No worries you watch your health I hope for the best for you
Thank you! I will be careful not to get sick.
