yoooooo the pattern instructions are coming along!!!!

I am in competition with my past self to make the best darndest, clearest, pattern instructions there ever was and TRUST they are coming along!!

Clear, non-assuming instructions for adventurous beginners are the goal, because I truly believe that good instructions help EVERYONE.

So, starting with a pattern inventory, pattern terminology, and a glossary (not pictured because it ain’t done yet) is essential. I want you to have everything you need when you purchase one of my patterns to make a fantastical piece that fits you and that you’ll wear forever.

And THAT is why I spend a stupid amount of time on the instructions. I write, make notes, have the instructions looked over once or twice before pattern testing, then get another round of critiques during pattern testing. I happily make adjustments to wording, illustrations, and anything else that can make the process clearer.

Then I look at everything...

again...

and again....

and again....

before it finally makes its way into my shop.
