Mockup 1 and 2 results and the final pattern decision!

Sleeve #3 was a CLEAR winner from your votes and because of that, I MUST perfect the pattern for it.

Mockup 1, was a sad SAD attempt with elastic. This version taught me that the elastic is a bit tooo overstimulated from the cinching on the arms. Highly do not recommend. (first pic)

Mockup 2, is a bit more engineered. (second pic) There is an inner shorter sleeve that maintains the shape of the sleeve without elastic but is still adjustable with ties. BUT it still was not dramatic enough so a mockup #3 is on the way!

The third pic has the pattern pieces for the mockup 1 (the top) and mockup 2 (the bottom).

A couple weeks ago, I shared 3 different adventures and you did (kinda) help me narrow it down to ONE...

The options.
Option 1: a bolero with 3 sleeves,
Option 2:a bolero with a hood and 2 sleeves,
or Option 3: a bolero with a cloak option, hood, and 1 sleeve.

and there was a clear favorite: Option 3 with sleeve option 3

BUT one of my favorite silly lil guys made the case for Sleeve 1 because it was the most practical. And we NEED a practical option.
and then I thought WHEN I wanted to release the pattern... which is around October, so it ALSO HAS to have a WITCHY sleeve.

then after I made the first mockup and realized… this pattern needs at least 2 hood options – one is perfect for running away into the woods with a lighter weight fabric, and the other is still fantastical, but won’t choke you if you use a heavier fabric.

so the final reasonable conclusion is... a pattern with 3 sleeves, 2 hoods, a bolero, with a cloak option.

The 4th and 5th picture is the illustrations I made when I thought I was ONLY going to draft a pattern with 2 sleeves, 1 hood, a bolero, with a cloak option. I just cant help but want to make the best pattern I can for you. BEST part is that the sleeves will be interchangeable with the Mei top (and hopefully all future top patterns).
