New DLC pricing poll
Hi guys :)
We are working on a new DLC for Love & Sex. Second Base that would add one of the most requested features ever: animations!
I am not talking about animations during sex scenes (yet) but animations for the character sprites during dialogue.
That would not be the only feature, it would add characters in backgrounds doing their stuff (like we did for the living room.
We want to start with the home harem and all the house backgrounds but of course we want to do the whole game like this...
It would have 5 animated girls and 8 lively locations for the house harem girls upon release.
So we have 2 ideas for the pricing of the DLC (it will be included in Patreon pledges as usual):
$9.99: Home harem and house backgrounds upon release and we add more little by little.
$4.99: Home harem and house backgrounds other locations and girls would be other similarly priced DLCs to be released little by little in 2026.
What solution do you think would be best?

I'd like to be able to buy it and download it. itch.io It won't let me. The site simply says payment method not available at this time. You might want to look into that
Please add a DLC that players can choose different outfits at sex scenes.
I would say that the fewer times I have to fish out my credit card to buy something the better. That's why I can't stand games with micro transactions. Oh, buy this thing for $5. Okay, gotta get out my credit card to purchase it. A week later, oh spend $5 for this great new thing. Okay gotta go and fish out my credit card again. Then the next week, and the next week, and the next week. Okay, it's not that bad, but still, you get my point, right? I'd much rather just know what the grand total is and pay that once rather than be strung along into paying a little bit each time for what essentially amounts to the same thing.
While I couldn't care less about animation the thing that draw me to this game and keeps me coming back is the updates every month. While I know that Steam is making this harder to do, if you can find way to keep it up, that would make me happy.
Always happy to see further updates and additions even smaller things that further round out the experience, I think $9.99 is a fair price for continuous updates to this as well. Animations can take a lot of time but breathing more life into the environment and such can only enhance the life sim aspect of the game imo. Makes it more lively. It's something I think Third Base will already benefit from with it being 3D as I'd assume everything would be animated so it brings some of that to Second Base just generally making the game more immersive. Looking forward to what might come of this and other ideas. Glad to support the dev team both with Second Base and everything else that's coming up too, appreciate the work & trying out all kinds of ideas new or old. Big yap aside, thanks for your time :)

If you don't get the dlc would it stop you from getting access to new content?
Only cosmetic content and not if you are on Patreon.
Dude, stop focusing on this game and focus on the other games you have in the works. You need to move on from this game

Same thing as the backgrounds awhile back, this isn't going to kill my interest in your work, but I don't see the point or the need. You have a good balance between visuals and text, as is. This is attempting to fix what isn't broken.
Would these DLCs be included in Patreon builds, or would they be separate?

I think this really is a very good decision for $9.99 with content updates does not only that it helps us and the fans look forward to new things especially with the girls not only that it means we don't need to wait that very long for the two months to go by that means we get to enjoy this I think this is a very good decision on your part and the whole team is well at Andrealphus Games
