AntsyLetter #2: Designers and iOS groundwork
Hello everyone, it's been about two months since the last update. In this time we've pushed three updates to the existing app, each with a considerable amount of features, improvements and bug fixes.
We've also gotten around to releasing a newer version of the extension API, known as tachiyomix, that aims to get rid of dependency on a very legacy library. In laymen's term we took some steps to get rid of some shaky foundation in the extension ecosystem.
We also recruited some volunteer designers to the polish the UI of the current app and improve the UX. They're are also key to help design the UI of the upcoming iOS version of the app. As a perk of being a patron, you'll be able to see the designs and provide feedback on the UI ahead of everyone else.
If you wish to help in the process feel free to drop by our Discord with some samples. We'd also welcome any artist wanting to do vector art or Lottie animations for the app.
There's not much else to share aside from me fully focusing on the rewrite now, thanks to the designers. So to finish off, here's a sneak peek to the day 0 implementation of Mihon's rewrite.

Couldn't define everything in a json format ? ( For each series, tags and all, last chapter saw, and so on) So it makes it easier to cross reference our advancement on multiple devices? If you struggle doing it I can hope in

Hey I don't do all that discord shit, but thanks for the hard work, we really appreciate it. Keep up good quality work. Also, there's some shit where I try and refresh and it like just doesn't really refresh. Like I'll go check 1 manga specifically and it'll refresh that one and then like new chapters populate but IDT the other mangas do unless I go to them. Also IDK if there's a way but can you do something about like cloudflare verification? I'm at work with a VPN and it's also not letting me go to certain sources via the interface bc I can't pass through cloudflare but if I go to the website itself via the app it will load correctly. But yeah idk those are the problems I have. Currently I just use another slightly less good source.
the best ios / ipados manga reader app I have seen is tachimanga, and I have an ipad and android phone, if your ios app can find a way to sync between android and ios apps that would be the best feature ever.
Can't promise anything but it's in the radar.
