New functional print: modular filament stand
Hey everyone!
I’ve just finished a new functional project – a modular filament stand for standard spools.
It’s fully printed, assembled and loaded with filament here, so it’s a “real life tested” design, not just a render 😄
Some quick specs:
14 standard 1 kg spools per level
25 mm chrome furniture tubes (I used 1 m long ones, usually under 2 USD each)
Smallest version uses 4 tubes and has 2 levels
2-level stand needs 20 × M8x20 Allen screws (including feet and top endings)
Each extra level adds 8 more screws
Minimum print bed size: 250 × 250 mm
Printed in PET-G, but ABS/ASA also works great
Important tip:
Print one connector part first and test it with your tube – every printer has slightly different tolerances. The tubes should be a snug fit, and the screws only lock them firmly in place.
Files are available on my MakerWorld profile: TomczukCustoms.
If your filament pile is getting a bit out of control, this stand might help a lot 😅
Thanks for your support – more functional prints and cute characters are already in progress! 💚
