Welcome to 2026 & Previews
I’d like to say a couple of things :)
1) I hope everyone is doing well and that you had some relaxing days over Christmas. For me, it was extremely important to take a week off and restart my brain. There were a lot of topics in my head, and I feel that now I’m much more capable of focusing again.
2) Attached, I’ve included some previews of projects I finished before Christmas: the Tank and the Dreadnought—as a treat for you peeps here on Patreon :)
3) I’ve also added some WIPs of projects I’m working on in my spare time—probably the Goblins as a competition piece, and the Forest as an alternative-history storytelling piece. I’m also planning to do a massive Tyranids project this year.
In general, I’d like to push the topic of Peacehammer (wholesome, non-combat miniatures) and wanted to ask if you, as a community, would like to do this as a collective thing—maybe as a challenge with sticks? Over the whole year or within a given timeframe? I’m just thinking out loud.
I’m already preparing the next tutorials, which will cover:
Thunderhawk metallics & lighting
The pink and teal OSL from the Tank and the Dreadnought
Possibly composition and building tips for the Goblins
In addition, for 2026 I’m planning some new off-topic content, such as design, social media, typography, and observation—with a focus on exercises to train your eye, especially for miniatures.
br,
Lukas (aka Chewie) 🙂
