A Little Life Update ♥

Hey everyone ♥

I wanted to take a moment to explain why things have been a little quieter from me lately and why there haven’t been as many houses released recently.

Life has been incredibly overwhelming these past months. First my sister became ill, then my daughter, and now my beloved companion as well. He turned 14 in January, and ever since we moved, his health has been declining more and more. Seeing him lose vitality and strength every day has been heartbreaking.

At the same time, I discovered how much joy I have in creating wallpapers and floors for The Sims 4. Creating something completely new has been such a wonderful experience for me and honestly took up a lot of my time. They may not be perfect yet, but I truly feel like I’m getting closer and improving with every creation.

But every time I feel like I can finally breathe again, something new happens. Recently I received a devastating diagnosis about my daughter. She has an incurable lung disease at only 30 years old. As a mother, hearing something like that feels like the ground disappears beneath your feet.

I don’t want to write a novel or turn this into a sad story. I simply wanted to ask for a little patience and understanding. I am doing my best to find my strength again and come back fully.

And one thing I can promise you: even if things take longer than usual right now, I am currently working on a very beautiful new house that I can’t wait to share with you all.

Thank you so much for your kindness, support, patience, and for staying here with me through all of this. It truly means more than you know ♥

Tara ♥

Hi Tara. My grandmother always said, "God will only throw as much at us as he thinks we can handle". And, while that may at times seem like an awful lot, the best we can do is just take a deep breath and press on and take things one day at a time. I'm sure the news about your daughter must be terribly frightening to you, but as someone who also has an incurable lung disease I can you that it does not necessarily mean it's a death sentence. With the medications and treatments and medical knowledge that's out there today, those with lung diseases are able to live long, productive lives. Your daughter is young and she has that going in her favor. I hope my words help to alleviate your anxiety even if just a little bit. Good luck to both of you. David

Hi David, thank you for your words. Yes, they truly help me a lot. As a mother, you constantly worry about how you can help your daughter, and sometimes you feel helpless because in the end all you really can do is be there for her. Unfortunately, this lung disease runs in our family. My mother passed away from it, but also because she chose not to undergo treatment. That is why, despite all the fear, I try to stay positive and hold on to hope. My grandmother always used to say, “If life puts stones in your path, pick them up and build something beautiful out of them.” The older generation was somehow different — but often incredibly wise. I wish you all the best as well, and just as much strength on your journey.
