September Base Touching
Alright everyone, let's do this again shall we?
Last month's patch for BA was focused on getting passages spell checked and more music implemented, where as the new content was a bit on the lesser side. This month the idea for some new beach content is a bit more substantial to go alongside the continued QoL features.
On other news, I have been pretty busy since there are a bunch of things now cooking in the background as well. First of all the commissions for this month are both already well under works and we won't have any delay issues like last month. First of all the winner for the commission theme:
Asset Thief Yuna: 12 + (10) = 22 votes
Dates with Yuna (Husband POV): 9 + (10) = 19 votes
Yuna gets selected by the Goddess of Fertility: 47 + (20) = 67 votes (don't say it)
Yuna gets addicted to food in order to try and get even curvier: 64 + (10) = 74 votes
Yuna vs the Elevator: 12 + (2) = 14 votes
What if? Dnd, Dancer class: 13 + (2) = 15 votes
What if? Yuna quit her job to work at a club: 5 + (2) = 7 votes
What if? David Knox saw a marketing opportunity with Yuna: (2) = 2 votes
It was a close race right up till the end but the theme chosen was of Yuna getting addicted to food! For this piece I had one of my commission arts recommend me to a friend of theirs and she has already completed the 2 pieces for this commission and I can say that she did a wonderful job, you can expect the first one to be posted on the 15th.
Secondly we have the Large Meal Suggestion Poll:
Tasha and Gemini After Hours: 10 votes
Casey never gets hired by Tiffany so she has to work at Dona's shop, accidentally spilling chemicals into the dough : 11 votes
Very close between these two but ultimately the second choice was the one that came out ahead! This was a very fun prompt to write around, and as such it ended up being made into a full comic, which is once again being handled by Mai4rt, a staple around here at this point since I just can't seem to get enough of their cute and expressive artstyle.
But that is not all! Since October is coming up sooner rather than later, work on the next installments of the "Happy Holiday" commission series are now under works, and since October is the beginning of a run of many major holidays, both me and Tsyuki have a good amount of work ahead of us.
But that still is not all! I was approached by an artist who would independently had begun work on their own comic based around "Flarea Gains" but ultimately they never ended up releasing, however the two of us are now going to be working together to be making it a reality. We are still in the beginning stages of getting the framework together, but this will likely be a pretty large project. More to details to come in the future.
Next, after a couple months long hiatus due to some personal life stuff, the main coder for that long teased card game has emerged once more, and work on that game is now once again alive and well. Extensive testing of card interactions, enemy AI, and writing are on the docket, it has been shaping up pretty well and I am hopeful about its future release!
Lastly, I have been putting in daily practice into properly learning Godot and its accompanying coding language GDscript. As someone whose only real background in coding is working with Twines extremely simple Harlowe software, it has been a lot to take in, but I have been learning a lot and it will help me in the future when it comes to making games in the program. I'm of course talking about my next major solo project, but I have also been in talks with an artist friend of mine about a potential idea that they have had, for now I will keep the details about that close to the chest, but it has gotten some creative juices flowing.
Aaaand I think that is all that I've got to report for today! The plate has felt pretty full lately, but that's just the way I like it, and I am hopeful that all of the support you have provided for me will continue to allow me the opportunity to pursue all of these creative endeavors!
Thanks again and see you all in a week for some art!
