Devlog #4

Already a week into another month, and despite the trifles of life, it's time to stick to the plan and start creating. Take a look at what I've been cooking up.

Writing
Boy, I am just trucking along and reading in my free time to remember what kind of writing I like. Lots of random books, fanfics, ao3, ect to inspire me. Writing is fun, intimidating, and exhausting at the same time and an extremely involved activity. Compared to making visual arts...it's a little harder for me to get into the swing of things, but I do my best to put one word after another. So far for Day 3, I got over 5k words and I'm hoping that will exponentially explode now that I have made a lil private writing space in my home. When I was at my most productive, over a year ago, I was in solitude for the most part which isn't a luxury I've had in a while.

Anyways, here's a lil preview of how the hot and heavy scene starts and how some of the choices are expected to look. (Plz excuse any typos, gonna do a big edit at the end.)

Uhh...and then I got carried away when I needed a bookmark. I got tired of using loose receipts/paper laying around lol. This turned out so cute tho. It's Remina from Crush!!! Feel free to it print out and use as bookmark! And it kinda worked well as some kind of standee too. Hmm. I'm def gonna make one of Jim later.

Animation
Are you seeing the vision yet? I'm planning for so much more animation in-game and I feel like I'll have to go back later to beef up Day 1 and 2 and show them some love. (tbh, whenever I finish I'll have to go back and do a final overall polish to make the game consistent between days lol oooor it could just be wacky and I pray it adds some charm.)

Music
Here's a sample of some new in-game music that's in the works. Hoping to have real OST for Chilling Devotion before the completion of Day 3 and eventually a full length album for Opferfleisch :3 more darkness to be revealed in future devlogs!

Game Dev Musings
I'm hoping, with maybe delusional optimism, that I will be able to have a releasable version of day 3 by the end of this month or some time in the next. With all my projects and goals in mind, I really want to step on the gas. So I may not post extras- comics, illustrations, and animations- on patreon as consistently so I can focus on the main game. Which I think would be better to prioritize at this point while I get a better idea of my workload. I don't want to overpromise and set expectations unrealistically.

I'm still planning for 2nd Tier Knights to get early access to game and 3rd Tier Inner Circle to get a 18+ patch in addition. I think keeping up with devlogs would be helpful keeping me on track as well as a fun thing to document and share.
