about that amtrak episode
so i wanna get back on schedule as quickly as possible, but my esteemed colleague probably will not be finished with the necessary assets by this weekend so being on time with it will be difficult. in the mean time what kinda episode would you prefer?

Red Viennna, past and today
if you're planning to make any more from this list, i'd absolutely LOVE to see an episode on parks
The fact that subways got so much loves makes me think you should do them first then the rest of public transport in a followup, or make subways an in depth special episode or something
Housing co-ops, and how they in reality are only affordable to upper middle class people and richer...
Reading enough Matt Bruenig has got me really interested in the history and development of public housing, so here's hoping...
Oh, in the spirit of Killdozer you need to do an episode on that wacky small business owner, amateur archaeologist, and avowed Christopher Columbus fan, Henry Chapman Mercer and his museum and castle. Its all nuts. The best part is that the museum is in Doylestown, its only a septa train ride away from you if you want to get some footage from the location itself.
Perhaps an episode about the death of interurban railways like what happened to the trolley system in Pittsburgh?
I'd like a Public Transit episode, followed by an episode that goes more in-depth with Subways. Honestly I like all the options though.
crushing of the US political left in the mid 1900's
Monorails! Already voted for subways :P "Girder with train on it" sounds interesting to me.. But i am sure it is more expensive than my silly characterization implies.
Could you make a mod pack of all your skylines stuff?
If you ever run out of ideas deep into the future, maybe you could do episodes on specific areas, like Northern Virginia where're your from (and frankly should be nuked from orbit.... it's the only way to be sure).
I voted public housing, but if subways and public transit get more combined votes, then transit it should be... if we are being democratic socialist. If we are being tankies, then you should do what you want.
This is relating to transit, but I would love in in-depth exploration of mixed-use, walkable, bikable development.
Preservation of historic religious buildings.
You'll eventually get to all of these right? ... right? No pressure, it's just that I'm excited for any and all of the topics you listed.
All of the above! I know that's the least helpful input possible, but honestly all of those topics seem great. I voted transit because NUMTOT
How about a curveball: Irish Potato Famine, and how it was basically the landlord's fault, and how aid was prevented because of laissez faire economics.
I love the public housing content. I would especially love something on the history of places like Stuyvesant Town, Co-op City, and LeFrak City in NYC, and for that reason I voted "something else."
Hey dude, if you're running something about public housing, can you go into the fucking travesty that was the grenfel tower incident? Shit needs so much more coverage.
or public art
ditto rent control
Maybe something about how to lower the environmental impact cities have and the reasons why there is such resistance against solving those problems?
Needs more trains.
I second what Gant said on going deeper into Rent Control.
Do an episode on the WPA
If public housing wins, can you do a deep dive on Rent Control? Lots of chuds and neoliberals love to pretend that Rent Control is the worst thing ever and that everyone agrees on that. Would love to see a well put together argument against them.
Let's talk about bike lanes.
I'd like to hear your take on public housing. Can't get enough of the RENT CONTROL.
This is a can that has to get kicked way down the road, but history of policing.
Voted Public Housing because it's near & dear. Would love Public Transit just as much! Gotta 2nd another comment; ZONING & BUILDING CODES - I feel like there is a big Right Lolbertarian / Neo-Con narrative about Evil Gubment interference in muh Free Markets that is ripe for a historical / Left re-contextualization.
RENT CONTROL
This might fall under public housing but what about "ad caelum" property rights/how much do tenant rights extend outside the walls of an apartment or house?
Transit transit transit. It is the most socioeconomically important aspect of city life. Subways, streetcars, buses. I'd always be interested in episodes on these topics.
I'd love to have an episode on fire safety/ohs, thinking shirtwaist factory fire or the match stick girls with phossy jaw
I voted housing with my head, but my heart wants the worm-trains kplzthx
Public Transportation Housing: where do the busses, trams, ropeways, and dirigibles live their off hours?
this actually made me wonder, so if you know, mention where busses and subway trains go to sleep
Public transportation! I hope you get around to all of these though I'm sure you'd make great videos on all these!
I'm really feeling that housing rn
I'd love to hear about public transit and the streetcar conspiracy
an episode about rezoning land would be interesting, idk if you’ve done that before
