Serin Talks! Ep.05 - Changes in Future Uploads, What Happened On July 4th, YouTube Strikes, Changes in Patreon Tiers, Brain Farts, Tears & Rants, etc.!
Guys I'm so sorry for losing my marbles on this episode of Serin Talks!... I feel like it really was a delayed reaction to what has happened and how the options I had left ended up being a dead end. I will not lie, I do feel hopeless, frustrated, and scared but I think crying earlier during recording this has helped release some heaviness I didn't know was accumulating maybe since I got the email! I'm choosing to just do what I can and release what I cannot control.
A tldr on what this is all about: YouTube deleted 2 of my most recent videos on the channel and gave me a strike! Now I can't upload until it's lifted.
Changes on YouTube: NO NEW UPLOADS until the end of the year (ber months) BUT I might be able to upload a few around August - still tentative and will depend on if the strike timeline YouTube gave me is accurate.
Changes on Patreon: Nectarines & Hibiscus Hearts will have some changes on their perks!
Serin is this permanent? No! This is only a temporary system until my strikes are lifted by YouTube~ I'm not quitting YouTube. I'm not abandoning the channel. This is just a situation that is out of my control and am trying to navigate around it!
So will you be streaming more often? I'll look into it, but since I'm gonna have to be used to this new system I might take a while before doing another stream + I have a LOT of backlog from last month. You will see me live once I have those all gone on my list!
Is there any other way we can support you like Ko-fi? I don't really have ko-fi and I don't think this is needed for the current situation. I think the system we have right now should be enough to keep us afloat for the coming months. If you do insist! You can just check out my Throne and contribute toa goal, or get serin a gift!
That being said, I will be making more shorts, reels, and tiktoks from previous audios on the channel and the new audios in the coming months to hopefully direct some new people to the channel and so that it won't be just a dead channel. We recently reached 7k ffs on IG and it's been a nice experience having new people find the audios! :)) Also, we might get 20k before my strike gets lifted and that would be such an awesome feat!
Big thank you to my shorts artist meeoeo for bringing the characters of the audios to life! I also found a new possible script writer so hopefully, production would be more organized and smooth sailing in the coming weeks! The last thing I'm hopeful to be also smooth sailing is my sleep! I have not been having a good one for the past few days.

Gotta be honest, my heart broke when you cried. It's just so frustrating to see the bull crap that YouTube has put you through and it hurts to hear you cry. That said, no need to apologize for that as it's warranted given the circumstances. I can only hope things get better for you and let's see how things go from here♥️🫂

@20:20 that’s what YouTube used to do but since they now overly rely on ai and now typically have smaller teams they don’t bother anymore, sadly
