Victorian Police Station - Lot

This is a lot originally by PlumbobKingdom, which I converted into a Victorian-style Police Station - for use with the Get To Work Detective Career.

You will need my Victorian Gaol Set for for the gaol/jail parts; as well as many of my other cc (particularly the gas lighting and oil lamps).

You can find this on the Gallery with my Username zeekidvicious, or you can download the Tray Files in this post, which you need to paste into the \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Tray folder.

I am also including a list of all the cc used on the lot. You should be able to do a websearch with the file names to get where to download each item - or it will just disappear when you add the lot.

Some of the files are exclusives, so may not be available to everyone - but you can usually find equivalents online. Use the Sims 4 Tray Importer app on your computer to check what items you don't have, before you place the lot.

You can use this for Get To Work's Detective Career once you have gone to the Police Station - then use the bb.enablefreebuild cheat in order to edit the lot - then you can place mine from the gallery or your Library (from the tray files) - make sure you enable cc when you have the gallery open.

The lot is cc heavy, and uses a lot of my own cc found on Patreon.

NOTE ABOUT THE CAREER: I have found the Detective Career SO BUGGY, the most frustrating part is when you discover clues about the suspect, but the suspect doesn't match this description. I don't know if it's a mod that is causing an issue for me, but I often have to go multiple APB locations before finding the right person - usually by trying to arrest everyone flying around.

Within my Police Station, I find that Sims don't really go where they're supposed to, and it seems hard sometimes to get them to go into the area for fingerprints etc. I find using the John Baccarat's Sims Teleport Interactions works best at getting the suspects in the right place. Once you move to the interrogation room, things seem to go fine.

Just in case, if you don't have it - I also recommend Down In Simsland's Interact In Tight Spaces

Floorplan:

Now for individual pictures, and room descriptions:

Outside, we have a little area for carriages and horses to eat and drink: ☟

As well as a community notice board, and post-box: ☟

From the outside you can also see through to the cells: ☟

Front façade has some nice big windows, and shutters: ☟

In the waiting room, we have a reception desk, and places for the public to sit: ☟

Through the big doors to the left of the reception, leads us to the toilet at the end; with the offices to the left, and the jail to the right: ☟

The main office has ample desks for all the staff, and the crime board for your cases: ☟

The main office also leads to the Chief's office, on the right; and the laboratory on the left: ☟

The Laboratory has the analysers you can use for evidence stuff (sorry, I couldn't make these machines historical 😭): ☟

The Chief's office is a perfect haven in an office environment - comfy chairs, a private fireplace; bookcase; and sink - if you need it: ☟

Now moving to the room directly to the right, from the hall: ☟

Stairs go up to the Staff-Only area: ☟

From here we can see the set-up for taking mugshots, fingerprints, and searching suspects (again, sorry I couldn't make this historic!): ☟

View of downstairs cells area: ☟

Each cell has a bed, seating, and toilet facilities: ☟

Staff area to view the interrogation room through the two sided mirror: ☟

Interrogation room is very minimal: ☟

Upstairs cells' area have a group cell, and a bunch of single cells: ☟

Now we move to the Staff Only area; this is a little office room directly up the stairs: ☟

This leads on to the main break area: ☟

From here is a little gymnasium: ☟

And on the other side is a seating area, and some tables where one would imagine meetings could happen: ☟

Then last room is the staff toilets: ☟

I haven’t played the detective career myself, but I definitely remembered hearing about how buggy it was. Get to Work is one of the older packs, so it getting fixed in any way is a real pipe dream (unfortunately).
