Hi friends! - update:
I am so happy that Automatic Beards v5 is finally released! It was much more than I thought I could handle, and I needed a lot of help trying to figure out what needed to be done.
Almost all of the beards, and objects needed to be remade: taking the mesh from the existing, non-base game version, then cloning a base game thing and importing the mesh and texture - making it now base game compatible.
I also found that some things didn't work as intended: I couldn't find the option to buy the beard tonic, and then it seemed the side effects part wasn't working; and trimming animation wasn't working. There's also supposed to be a buzz when you trim, but we couldn't work out why it wasn't working, or how to fix it - so it's a silent animation now.
There was so much more, but I won't bore you with my frustrations!!! It's done now, and hopefully nothing breaks it in the future, so I don't have to touch it again ๐ญ
I wish that I was better at making mods, but we all have things we're better at, than other things!
All the time I was trying to fix the mod, I've also been working on more cc! So here's what you may expect coming soon:
1. Three new functional rocking horses, using Pandasama's rocking horse mod
2. Some of Felixandre's candle sconces with candles now fixed in them - so they don't disappear when you redecorate
3. A new functional wash basin, which I converted from The Sims 2
4. Maid hat-hair (lol, sorry if anyone was really looking forward to this, I just keep forgetting about it, and putting things ahead of it in the queue)
5. A whole lot of Regency furniture converted from The Sims 2 (still WIP)
And, things I haven't quite started, but am planning:
1. Victorian cast iron range (stove/oven)
2. New fan-shaped fireplace screen
3. Change tuning, text, and flames for all my oil lamps
I always pick up things randomly, so I'm sure my lists will expand before I've finished releasing these ๐
