The Standard - Slotable Candle Set
Update notes at end of post!
Introducing The New Standard of slotting candles!
Recently I mastered (gloat much‽) the art of making candle flames, working out all the numbers from extensive (really‽) testing, and learning how to make tuning.
There are some good candles out in the market, but they all have individual qualities not found in each-other. So, I decided I would make this set, which takes all the good qualities of the others, and combines them into a set of five High Quality candles, which can be placed into candlesticks, candelabras, and chandeliers, with slots.
Like my other lighting, these are base game compatible, and off-the-grid!
The breakdown:
№1: this is the main, every-day candle, which I see in most little candlesticks/holders and candelabras. It's skinny, and not too tall, not too short.
№2: this is a thicker candle that goes well in wall candelabras, and I think goes well in most chandeliers. This candle has two flames layered, so the flame appears brighter.
№3: this is the thickest candle, and shortest. I feel this goes really well in a gothic setting, chandeliers and candelabras; and it could work well outside as well. This candle also has two flames layered, to make the flame appear brighter.
№4 and 5: taller, skinny candles that go well in the larger candelabras, as well as chandeliers and wall holders that have smaller looking slots.
I really like the vertex paint job I did, which controls what lights up on an object itself: so you can see the thicker and taller ones have darker bottoms, just like a real candle would.

Update 5/05/2026:New and Improved! Much lower poly; candles light up better, as well as light emitted; new interactions to use all light settings available. (Also №5 is a little taller)
Update 20/12/2025:Updated candle tuning to include interaction "Extinguish All Candles"
